I am going to take a completely different interpretation of that from canon (Ever seen a married person/or a someone in a relationship who secretley liked someone and ends up trying really hard to hook up the person they like with someone else)

That scene where Hinata is addressed by Hamura truly shows that this manga was never about Naruto. It was always about Hinata. Like wtf is she doing standing in front of someone on his level? I'm supposed to buy that some worthless side character is all of a sudden on the same standing as the brother of the Sage of the Six paths?

 

I should have never picked up this detestable excuse of a story. The ending and the movie does nothing but insult us at every turn.

The whole rivalry argument is such a patchwork solution. It solves the immediate problem, but ends up creating ten more in the process. 
 
Oh but forgive me. NS was obviously just there to mislead us. NH and SS have been planned from the very beginning. That's why we need a movie as well as books and extra chapter pages to explain how the kitten they even got together. 
 
Then there's the fact that Naruto is now a womanizing scumbag, Sakura is a shallow fangirl and Sasuke...I don't even know where to start. He abandoned Team Taka, he gave up on his ambition, he somehow decided to marry a woman that he has never been shown to care about as anything more than a team mate or a sister. Oh yeah and he has also left the village...again...after Naruto spent how many years trying to bring him back. 
 
Cohesive ending...Yeah right... 

How would it do that? By showing them how their pairing can only work if everyone acts totally OOC? What would be the point of this? Unless Kishi pulls another "shocking end" on us I don't see how this will make a difference.

  

Yeah. All of team 7 comes out of this looking like absolute scum, not just Naruto. I wonder if that was Kishi's intent or he even realizes what he made them look like. The rivalry moment makes Sakura and Naruto both look terrible. And does Sakura's comment about her feelings not changing so easily confirm Naruto's accusation that the confession was a lie, or do I have some memory problems?

Oh I definetely agree with you there. It doesn't even feel like Naruto anymore. The clothes, the aesthetic, the mood. Everything seems so off compared to the rest of the series. It's like a bad AU fanfic.   
 
I very much doubt that this is a joke. I think it's 100% serious. However if it is a joke, then when do we get the punchline?

No lies, but this movie is pretty distasteful. I can explain but I do have to see it to give me the "rights" to talk about it. But so far, it's really out of place.

I know I'm probably late in asking this, but I have to know. I read somewhere that in an interview kishi said that the naruhina ending was studio pierrot's idea. If you don't mind, can some please confirm or deny the existence of said interview, cause I'm having trouble understanding an animation studio dictating the source materials endgame pairing

yup, he said he wasn't devoted to write nh's love story and that the movie was sp's idea.

I was honestly going to give this movie a chance too, ugh. I thought that maybe it'd be similar to the third shippuden movie (awesome movie btw) and not completely revolve around Hinata, but pshh, LOL. What a kittening joke. Byakugan Princess? Ohhh remember that Team 7 cover with that castle? Maybe Hinata was in there "You are Hamura"...? I can't take this crap anymore!!!

There is absolutely no way that anyone can justify what happened in this movie as canon. It completely contradicts with it, so why should I count it as canon?

Literally this movie just goes to show that the final chapters and movie are too ridiculous to be considered canon. While members of other fandoms will swallow this garbage without an ounce of pride, I won't. I'll just leave it to my favorite authors on ff.net to create real canon, as Kishi has shown that his writing ability is subpar and his care for his story is even less.
