I know that he's stupid but not that retarded to know that his customers are his fans. He said he will be doing more manga in the future, so cashing in means you are going to retire. And this is not the case, so if he loses plenty of his customers from Naruto, how will he make profit in the future? He's better off retiring and investing in his own business (non- manga related).
