Anyway, I heard my best friend talking about the ending and man, we're on the same page. Even said that Neji talk of destiny was always right. So stupid the manga.

Kishimoto shamelessly said that the new series is motivated by money. Why the hell would we waste our time on such garbage?

 

Did he really say that? I don't remember him actually coming out and saying it, not in those terms. But I didn't go too deep into some of his interviews. Too painful and ridiculous.

This. It will be interesting to see how he tries to redeem the whole series, not just the ship. So many characters were trashed. So I'm curious to see if he redeems any of the female characters or just leaves them unhappy and moves on to the next gen. 

 

And yeah, it will be nice to check in here with everyone about on just how bad Part 3 turns out to be!!! That will be the bright spot of this whole mess!

 

I admittedly don't know much about contemporary Japanese culture, so I really hesitate to say this:

 

But from what I've read from other people here, Kishi is pretty traditional in how he views gender roles. I think we've seen hints of this in the last few chapters of Naruto. My guess is that the female characters won't get much redemption. I think Part 3 will focus primarily on the kids. We may see Sakura in the hospital, but I suspect the women will primarily be portrayed in domestic roles.

Doesn't see any good reason to read it. Even if Kishi tries to re-do everything on Boruto by recycling all that debated logics used on Naruto that he just trashed when he make that 360 turn on his own story, I don't see the possibility that he will get the same attention again since people already doubt his own credibility. That same impression I had on Naruto won't exist on Boruto. So, nope I won't watch it.

MBTI is supposed to be inaccurate because it doesn't cover every corner of human's behaviour and 2 persons of the same type can be so different at the same time. But when you take it as a tool to understand those 4 letter and how it works between each other it could be kind of useful.

I have a few questions though. 

 

1. Did he not tell anyone the ending before he created it? Did he tell any other mangakas (specifically Yoshihiro Togashi or someone more "progressive" than him) about this ending? Why did they not stop him? 

 

2. Do you guys think it got through to him that half of his fanbase hates the ending? Because if so why would he continue on with a Part 3 knowing that it's going to make people even more pissed.

No.... The mods have been working on some new threads, including a Post-Naruto thread. We'll launch them all at the same time, along with Smiter's thoughts about the site and how we will go forward. So just hang out here for a little longer, then we'll retire this one and launch another big new chat thread.

Lol sorry to make you remember the whole Neji thing. Some details are harder than others, everything is just clumped together in a ball of ridiculousness and idiocy.
