If it gets to Europe, it'll probably hit France since it's the anime holy land of Europe.

Yeah. It seems like southern Europe in general is a good place to live if you're into anime.

Well I know that the a company called Kana Home Video is responsible for releasing Naruto DVD's in France and as far as I know, they only feature the Japanese dub with french subtitles. It's the same thing they did with the DVD's here in Scandinavia, except that they never completed the series. dry.gif

No, it shouldn't be available online with subs until the end of April 2013.

However, since the movie is being shown internationally, there is a chance that a poor quality version of it will become available sooner. It's not guaranteed though, unlike the date at the end of April.

Congrats to those in Singapore >_<

Namaenas, just wanna ask... is this movie part of a collaboration project with Anime Festival Asia?? if that's true, then there might be a chance for my country to get it too since it's going to be held here as well (AFA)

I think so. They mentioned AFA on the official site and Facebook page. Perhaps you can ping AFA to get the exact answer...

So, I just walked off the cinema and now on my way back home.

After watching the movie, I still stand on my comment: if Naruto doesn't end with NaruSaku or an open end, watching this movie will be a major joke smile.gif

I think the movie was well-executed. People in the cinema are enjoying it, you can't deny that it was fun (people are laughing on funny scenes), sad at some points, and give enough rooms for the audience to keep their hopes that the main hero and heroines to get it through the day.

It's difficult to give unbiased review, being a NaruSaku fan that I am. The movie is intended to general audience, there's a lot of flashbacks giving Naruto's universe context. Even if you don't read the manga, or watch the anime, you can still follow the movie and get entertained. It's also about Naruto and Sakura understanding each other and make sacrifice towards each other.

If Kishi intend to include this movie as part of canon, timing-wise in the manga it will be after Naruto met Kushina --supported by flashbacks. Naruto can't use RM mode and not yet befriend with Kurama (Kurama lend him his power since he don't want to die and trapped in this world). Yes mate, it is potentially after both Hinata and Sakura confession.

Anyway, you'll feel really good as a NaruSaku fan. They just interact very naturally. The chemistry was there. The usual Naruto-Sakura tsundere was there (people are laughing, so yes, Asian in general loves tsundere, it's very cute). They made self sacrifice towards each other. They made for each other. The best scene that I like is when Naruto saves Sakura (bridal style), Sakura was smiling and the way she looked at Naruto and said Naruto's name was very nice. You'll be thinking that somewhere inside her heart, there's a special place for Naruto.

No worries, there are plenty more NS fans services. Don't worry too much for the details as well. For NS fans, all is good.

Thank you very much!!! So, all those rumors were confirmed. Just one thing that I've been really wanting to ask, did Kushina get a good fight scene?? please tell me it's true, otherwise including Kushina in the movie feels very troll-ish to me as this probably the only time we'll see her full abilities. If Kishi didn't do that, it feels quite lacking when you consider how popular she is.

P.S.: do you read/watch Fairy Tail?? if you do, could you check out the movie as well??

Just kidding. th_glomp.gif

Thank you so much. Wow, so it's really hard not to be biased huh. That's funny. Why? Because it's right there and like many people said, shipper or not, Kishi is serious about NaruSaku. If the fact that it's hard for you not to be biased, then you know Kishi went full force with NaruSaku, and that's a big win for us. Thank you for sharing with us. You're one lucky person.

Btw, I'm already on NaruSaku or riot mode. So I don't blame you for feeling the same way.

Yes, I would like to know about Kushina. Unless Kishi is holding back on her abilities for his manga, I hope she did good stuff.

Oh yeah, I saw your post about FT the movie. Lol. I don't blame you. I too will be upset. So yes, Namaenash, did you see it as well?

Unfortunately no. It's clear that Kishi wanted to emphasize her role as a mother. There are lots of hugs by Kushina smile.gif You can clearly see that she is a lot like Sakura. Scolding and then hugging smile.gif

Audience also need to be aware that they are not Naruto's parent, they are Menma's parent. There's a scene where AU Minato said "We're humans before ninja" which followed by a long flashback during Kyuubi attack, with Minato saying "We're a family of ninja" followed by Kushina infamous advise --they did skip the part where she said 'find a girl like me', 'I'm not good at ninjutsu, but people have their own gift'', 'obey your teachers' though, I guess they don't want to make the flashback too long. But you can't deny the fact that it is one of the most important chapter in the series.

Anyway, they did well to convey the message 'what is ninja'. And Naruto has the best answer: 'Ninja is someone who endures' --you'll have to watch the movie to comprehend it smile.gif

As for the bridal style scene, it was very short. Kishi is very good at handling this thing. The fact that the one who saved her bridal style is Naruto's clone might disappointed you a bit. But the intension is there, you can't deny it, no matter how smart Kishi is playing it. Sakura was defending Naruto when he got hit by Menma/Madara genjutsu, she was in the safe place with Akatsuki and the gang, but we know she cares about Naruto more smile.gif. She was no match of course, but they choose to have Naruto saved her when she was knocked up in the air. In other words, the scene could've been excluded and it will not have a major impact --apparently Kishi choosed to include it. I guess, he's being another biased NaruSaku fan smile.gif thank you Kishi sensei.

There are other plenty of Naruto-Sakura scenes, you'll enjoy it as much as I do. Personally, I think the whole movie is about them growing up. I recall Chiadra mentioned that Sakura is the window to Naruto's world and his journey, well, you see her statement is very true in this movie.

Couple of audience's reactions that I can memorize:

- The scene where Sasuke gives Sakura a rose -> audience is laughing. Sorry SS fans, there's really nothing except comedy in that scene. The whole interaction is closed by Sasuke being a player by the way. Sakura did take care of the flower for a couple of days until it is withered, and happily looking for Sasuke just to find out that he has been saying the same exact words and giving rose to all the girls. Sakura was sad and cried. And who did she look for? Naruto.

- The scene where Sakura said 'We're just having the longest date" -> audience is laughing. It is true that it was intended for comedy, but it gives NaruSaku a high note. They can exclude it, since honestly it's a bit out of place (Sakura was hugging her parents while crying, Naruto just jumped in and asked for a proper date). But they choose to include it. Yup, Naruto was asking a proper date with Sakura's parents presence smile.gif they didn't emphasize the parents reaction, but you can see her mother was smiling...

- The scenes with the AU rookies are hilarious -> audience is laughing.

- The scenes with AU Hinata -> audience is laughing. Those are purely comedic scenes. Hinata asked Sakura whether she and Menma is on a date, Sakura was blushing and stuttered (it's not romantic per se, but I still find it cute). Hinata threatens to kill her. Then at ofuro, she called Sakura not by name but 'flat-chested'. Boy, it's really rude (sorry NH fans). I still memorize my Japanese a bit (I lived there once), calling not by name is insulting enough, the word she used for 'flat-chest' is very strong in literal. But, audience need to understand that those scenes are purely comedic.

- The fight scenes between two Kyuubis are well executed -> audience is pretty much giving a 'wow' comments...

- I find the most touching scene is when Sakura and Naruto is having a conversation at the fence. And when Naruto bid farewell to AU Minato and AU Kushina.
And many more. I guess I leave the rest of the details to you when the movie is out. When that time comes, I foresee a lot of people will change their signature and avatar 3)

The bridal rescue was just like a quick 2 seconds type of deal, right? It still doesn't take way from the fact that it happened. Kishi probably didn't want to linger on it too much since it would go against the fast pacing of the whole rescue.

Why did Naruto use a clone to save Sakura? Was the real one fighting Menma to distract him from seeing the clone save Sakura?

if I'm not mistaken... --Click here to view--

It was like 5 seconds thing.. Lolz, may not be accurate. Brief but the emphasize was there. Sakura was smiling, looking at Naruto while holding at him (naturally, when someone lift you up in that position) and saying Naruto's name in a glad tone. It sort of makes you think that Naruto is the one she could always depend on. Then he put her down and vanished.

The real one is seen to be preparing rasengan, shown in front of Sakura. No worries, the intention is there smile.gif I'm glad that we have lots of fans services from Kishi.

Kushina's and Minato's tease... --Click here to view--

They were teasing about Naruto's rebellious behavior. As pointed out by many other spoilers, Naruto behaves pretty badly towards his AU parent. Naruto didn't want to trust them in the beginning, since to him, they are fake and made by Madara.

Minato was asking why he acted not nicely. He was asking: "Why do you have a foul mood? Something happen with you and the hero's daughter (Sakura)?" From this question, I think we can safely assume that Menma is a very close friend of Sakura, or Menma has a crush on Sakura (I can imagine a father would ask about his son's crush and relate to the foul mood, otherwise why pick that question? Why not pick something about academy or mission, etc? Then again it's hard to be unbiased). Naruto's reaction is not nice since he was still thinking they are fake.

Kushina was asking "are you ready for the mission? Ready to prove yourself to her?" There was only one other girl in the campaign besides Kushina, so, it's logical that Kushina was referring to Sakura. Naruto's reaction was very rude because he's still thinking that they are fake. Sakura then approached Naruto and she said "no matter whether they are fake or not, your reaction is rude and inappropriate ". We see that Sakura is being Sakura by keeping Naruto in the line. But, Naruto was still upset and cut her right away. That's the degree of his anger about Madara making 'fake' Minato and Kushina.

Oh, and Kushina made that teasing face we saw in promotional posters. So yeah, it's safe to assume that Menma has a crush on Sakura.
