I'm annoyed Whitey-chan is fine, but I'll forgive it because that means Halibel gets to punch him in the face some more.

I'm more interested in the meanings behind the Espada. It gives them another dimension, other than just being badasses that work for Aizen.

Heh, I love the fact that Apporro's is Madness. Even Aizen thought he was crazy.

Hitsugaya ain't going to die anytime soon, but I'll hold out on him winning against Halibel by himself. Even if he is #1 in popuialrity polls I think he'll get the Kakashi treatment in that he's there to get beat up on and made to look the others look better. Come on Kubo ignore the fangirls /in denial

Barragan is quite badass. His power seems quite extraordinary when you think of fighting against time itself. Though I'm sure Soi Fong has a counter with her bankai or something, especially with her haxx shikai. He easily has the best release so far and looks very intimidating. I wonder how Stark will top this one. Quite curious as to how the other two have released yet he hasn't. He's really taking his fight nonchalantly.

Also, the 10 ways of death are quite interesting to know about. I'd like to wonder how the Espada were before they became hollows. What they were like in real life. But, its an interesting merit and I hope Kubo pulls up more on it.

I do believe that the top 3 Espada won't fall so easily like the others. If the good guys were to win all the fights, there wouldn't be much left in terms of antagonism (if we exclude the Vizards who's stance is ambiguous) and the threat isn't even a real issue. I don't think we'll get any major character death, but I do expect some of the captains to lose and for Aizen to have something up his sleeve as he relaxes in the sauna. Looking forward to the next chapter!

Phew, I'm finally up to date with Bleach manga. I was particularly interested in the ten ways of death. Barragan said that the Espada's powers reflect their aspects, so does that mean Halibel has some form of sacrifice?

Also looks like the Shinigami are going to have their hands full. Hitsugaya may have survived Halibel's first attack but I doubt he's going to have an easy fight. I want to see more of Stark's fight with Kyouraku. Stark is an interesting charcter and I find it quite comedic that Ukitake doesn't want to fight Lilinette. Of course, I wouldn't mind seeing some Ukitake action either.

So, if Yammy is the "strongest Espada," then the manga is suggesting that "rage" is the leading cause of death? Because that's interesting.

Despite how much anyone may like or dislike Hitsugaya, there's no denying he's the weakest of the captains. Halibel being the 3rd Espada, no way in hell will he win, but unfortunately Kubo couldn't just ignore his fangirls and keep the shota down and injured while someone like Yoruichi takes the stage (chocolate boobs clash! ) so now we must endure his fail a little longer. Of course, everyones reading for the absolute win that is Barragan anyway so personally I don't really care (I wonder how Stark's release beats his?)

Anyway great chapter. I see that Kubo has an arm cutting fetish along with his foot fetish....

Barragan with his death breathe and Soi Fon's skelo arm was crazy. You could sense her complete shock at the sight of her arm turning into just bone. Girl has guts having her VC just cut her arm off like that. She better use shunko or go bankai soon.

And lol @ Hitsugaya getting cocky and getting owned yet again by his OWN ice. I shall enjoy his humiliation before Kubo saves himself from murder by legions of fangirls. His petals seem to be back so I'm guessing he'll get a power up or something once they're all gone.

I never thought I'd like Barragan..but wow O.O he is an eye-opener. I loved his line about the irony of shinigami fearing death. Perhaps Kubo is trying to tell us that shinigami aren't really above humans if they can die in the same way (the espada each represent a way humans die). I love how Kubo is making the higher arrancar seem so mature too, like they are even more wise than the shinigami. Halibel has such a calm, unwavering personality and Hitsugaya is seeming more and more like a little kid, whining about taking him seriously. I hope we get to see Soifons bankai next chapter!

I just really hope Soi Fon makes it out of this okay. I like her for reasons I cannot fathom.

But Hitsugaya... yeah, I'd be fine with him biting it. He's really coming off as the petulant child he is in this fight, whereas Halibel just keeps being more and more awesome.

You know, I've been thinking about something. The Polls rank Hitsugaya as the most popular character. Kubo-sensei has him get beat up and humiliated at every opportunity. I think a certain author may not like his "Most Popular Character".
