It's been a while since I've been here.

I'm so sorry about your family situation. I just hope everything works out for you in your new apartment and that you'll be able to take care of yourself, especially in this crappy economy.

If you need a money-saving tip, here's one I thought of recently and giving a shot: Stop buying snacks (not meals, I mean snacks like chips, candy, etc.) and soft-drinks. I'm not sure how much this would help, but I think it's worth a shot.

I'm kind of curious about exactly what is going on with your family, but if it's too personal, don't feel obligated to divulge.

Wishing you the best of luck.

I hope you get your family problems fixed soon, Sakura-jie. And you must take good care of yourself even if you are stressed! Not sure what's a good stress reliever for you, but sleeping in usually does it for me >.>

The apartment searching is unfortunately on hold until I can once again accumulate more funds. The person I lent the 2k to hasn't been able to repay me, so I have to start saving again from scratch sleep.gif

Lol, and I would stop buying snacks...if they weren't the only things keeping me alive XD
Yoko tells me all the time that my eating habits are unhealthy XD;

And my family situation has reached a sort of stalemate, and so for now things are cool, and I hope that they either remain that way, or some kind of *good* resolution can be reached soon ^^

Yup! For now things are okay with mah fam, Lee-muimui :3 <3
And I try to take care of myself. I really do! XD
My body just generally hates meh 8D;

And I'm unfortunately the type of person who can't sleep/nap when the sun is up, even if all windows are closed and blinds are drawn. And it usually takes me FOREVER to fall asleep at night XD;
But when I do sleep it is quite nice, and I agree a very good stress reliever :3

And lulz, yeah not so easy to do Kodachi, though the advice is good and sound XD

I think those nightmares you had could be Lucid dreams. Just tell yourself that they aren't real next time you have kind of dreams.

I'm sorry, I know that this may sound incredibly rude...but what DON'T you have!? err.gif

I know none of it is your fault but jesus...I'm glad you weren't born a century ago...you probably would have died by 20 arg.gif

I'm going to out on a limb here about how to deal with or improve your health...but maybe you should try some soft-martial arts (Akido, Tai Chi, some forms of karate and jujitsu...). I've heard how the founders of these styles started out sickly, and it seemed to work for them. Granted, that would probably take a lot of dedication (and money sweatdrop.gif) but if you can do something consistently for a year, it might be worth something. Just thought I'd throw it out there
But before you do... --Click here to view--

If you ask someone about this advice and recommend Muay Thai to you, it means they want you dead.

I haz a wisdom toothache ;_;

I had only 3 wisdom teeth from an X-ray when i went to see the dental surgeon over a year ago and had them pulled a week later during 2008 summer. I had 2 on the top and one on the bottom (the bottom hurted the most because all of your teeth nerves are connected together at the bottom and separately at the top) I really wasn't afraid, I was sedated with some anesthesia (sleeping gas), It took only about no more than 15 minutes from what the doctor told me and yes you will feel the pain later on that night. The doc already has some prescription Hydro's wrote up for meto get at your local pharmacy. biggrin.gif The two top ones had special stitches that automatically dissolves after a couple weeks. (I was limited to what i could eat and drink due to the stitches)

Shauna since all of your wisdom tooth are showing i assume, you don't have to worry about them getting cut out as bad like mine were. I have no more wisdom teeth to worry about bothering me. happy.gif

@Kodachi Claws, not every one has to take martial arts and not every enjoys it. If you have a full time physical job and other things to worry about the last you want to do is going to a place were you stress out your body even more. (except Tai Chi)

Martial arts such as Aikido, Tai Chi, Karate are meant to relax the muscles and relieve you of stress. Hence the "soft" portion of martial arts. He's not FORCING Shauna to do it, he's just suggesting. rolleyes.gif

The martial arts stated above use your inner energy and calms you down.

I really didn't know that. headscratch.gif I always considered Karate as seen on TV to be more forceful than relaxing.

Depends on which specific style, although as a whole karate is viewed as a more aggressive art. The founder of Shotokan (or Shorinryu? Can't remember...) started out sickly himself.

And yes, I'm well aware how her personal life may simply just not allow it; I just threw that out as a suggestion if she can find time. With all of her maladies, I sure don't know what the hell to do for her.

I think out of all the martial arts suggested, Tai Chi is probably the most fitting for you Shauna. I personally do Judo and Karate (Kyokushin) and I have to tell you that its DEFINITELY anywhere near soft or relaxing, at least not for those who don't like body conditioning. Jiujitsu and Aikido are also plausible since they works with the "flow" of the energy.

Ugh. Any martial art shown on tv always shows the aggressive side and makes it a pseudo art. It never shows the benefits, just shows how an "martial artist" is able to kill or wound lots of people.

I don't know if i could place Ju-Jitsu as a soft martial arts, I mean your being trained to put someone in a submission in many different ways. I think (Ninjutsu/Judo/Kong-Fu/some Karate/Jiu-Jitsu and some others i can't think of right now are more aggressive to me.)
