Totally good.

I'm really intrested in how this fight will turn out. Because Kacchan is sh*tty right now, just he is. Ochako didn't show her full potential, but with plot development - bomberman (lol) needs to win, and Ochako to go down (what I'm actually ok with), because both ways are ways up to Ochako she will have development for sure, but what will damage bomberman? Loss. So I will cheer for Ochako! 

She hasn't shown her full potential yet, you're right. This is finally her moment to shine, and I really hope Kouhei doesn't mess this up (I know he won't   ) This is where Ochako's character development really begins. And I'm cheering for her as well!

Horikoshi has been building up quite a lot of tension so that Ochako vs Katsuki became the most anticipated fight. You're right though: It's either make it or break it. But that won't happen. While I'm pretty sure Ochako will loose, I don't think Horikoshi will end this fight with her defeat to simply motivate Deku to take revenge. I refuse to believe that Ochako's loss would be a mere plot device. Otherwise, he'd strip her of her dignity.

Hatsume's quirk is so awesome XD Her design out of all the females is my favorite. So yeah: Ochako and Hatsume, definitely my favorite girls (I kindly won't choose one over the other U_U).

So far most of the characters are really likable (NnT is another story though U_U). I think the only hated character in this manga so far is Kaa-chan.

But yeah, each and every character by far is original and amazing. That's why this manga is so addicting! I'm especially liking the bird guy as well!

Ch. 35

My girls. My babies. I'm so proud of the both of them!

Somebody had a headcanon that sounded exactly like what just happened with Hatsume. Of course this was bound to happen haha! She truly is a charm. Reminds me of Hange from AoT. And there's no way I'm not gonna ship HatsumexIida.

I do ship DekuxOchako, but there's two things: her actions with IIda are really special too, but also...Kacchan. My head canon is that She's gonna give him a run for his money and he'll become obsessed with taking her down after the fight. Then both him and Deku will develop feelings for her. Oh that would be sooo good (but highly implausible).

 

 

Now, I gotta say: these next few chapters could either be a make it or break it. If Ochako was to somehow shamefully lose, then expect for Bnha's fanbase to consider her a "useless" character until the end of the story. That's the thing about male-dominated fanbases, female characters always have to prove themselves more than others (Even though Lightning boy barely made a scratch lol). But I have strong faith that Ochako won't have to go through what Sakura did. She's such an inspiring character already. I really have high hopes for her. 

 

And lol at Hatsume having the Byakugan.

C'mon in terms of character - Sakura was great, author was dumb, that's it, with good treatment - this character is one for Oscar, who nearly 95% changed their initial character by hardwork and help of others

I mean the eyes of the beholders. These are factors that made them hate her in early start.

-Don't fight.
-Suck at fight (lack of fighting included).
-Annoying (intentional or not)
-Poor excuse of a goal (love)
-Take long to showcase

Of course Sakura didn't suck. It's just this is what I think how they factor her in. Sadly, that's what she actually got. So, she's escaping those factors but the fight is next. So yeah. I can't believe I just did this list.

The fact that Mikasa has proven herself and, if what you say is true, they do hate her, then your statements premise is wrong. And this is coming from a Mikasa fan btw, I wasn't even aware she was hated. I'm not all that engrained into the fandom. I think she's epic.

For the simple fact that she almost acts exactly like Levi let the same people who hate her are the same ones who praise Levi. It's also the fact that she's constantly being promoted as some crazy stalker ex-girlfriend when in canon, she's never portrayed like that. There's also the whole "she's OP" yet the same people never criticize Levi for being in the exact same position.  Oh, and let's not forget people bashing her because she's muscular and not "feminine" enough. >.>

 

It was the same thing with Sakura. The girl proved herself countless of times yet she's still regressed to a "b*tch" or "useless". Nevermind the fact that characters like Shino or Kiba did way less than her. Or notice how Tenten gets made fun of by the Naruto fandom yet Shino still exists.  

 

It may be subconscious, but the sexism in a lot of anime fandoms still exists. We just see it more commonly in shounen, male-oriented stories. I can already tell that there's going to be a lot of people against Ochako even though she's already a well written character. I mean, even Touka as a character gets hate from the TG fandom from time to time. It's literally enviable.

She berated him oftentimes for no reason, and was hung up on a love competition with Ino for someone who didn't care a damn bit about her. People disliked her because they thought that she was using Naruto's feelings for her in order to get with Sasuke, which ironically enough, she did. Remember that promise she made to Naruto about bringing Sasuke back together? Guess what didn't happen? Remember when she said that she would stop crying? Guess what kept happening. So to state that Sakura was hated because of sexism in a male dominated fandom is asinine, ignorant, and honestly, kinda insulting, seeing how you're disparaging a fanbase based on the extreme few of the bunch. 

 

Maybe it exists, but maybe not so much as you've tried to make it out to be. Regardless, I despise these conversations, as they do nothing at all except bring light to ridiculous double standards and make use of generalizations that are incredibly far off from being truthful. So lets just drop it here, if you need to continue this, create some kind of social justice thread while I go swallow a handfull of tylenol to get rid of the massive headache I've had all day.

When it comes to the second matches of the final round I think Deku's got a good shot at winning against Todoroki, not to be hating on Todoroki cause I think he's a cool character. That's the vibe I'm currently getting right now.  

 

Also going about chapter 35 here are my post thoughts from the live reaction: 

 

 

Chapter 35

So similar to what I mentioned in my live reaction video, Ochako's determination is something I loved about the chapter a lot. I can already tell that Ochako is going to bite the dust, but she's going to go all out judging by how Kohei's style has been on portraying character fights. However like many OchaDeku shippers have said to me, this could lead to that big moment between Deku and Ochako where she'll be depressed that she lost but Deku will cheer her up.

I also laughed at IIda vs Mei fight that was taking place the moment that fight began I had a feeling that Mei was up to no good. Plus thats something I would expect from her. That sneeky little lovable gadget girl was just toying with him I loved it. Not sure abotu shipping Ida and Hatsume as many fans are doing at the moment.


I gotta say when it comes to Ochako I already knew based on her getting nervous that the fight between her and Bakugou was going to commence. This will probably be the fight aside from Deku vs Todoroki that's going to be pretty intense for not ony Ochako but Bakugou too. The reason I'm considering that is because Bakugou will probably somehow guess how much of a valuble friend Ochako is to Deku and if he takes out then he'll get him to his bad side in trying. That's what I'm seeing for him, and as for Ochako this will probably be where her character gets spotlight to her character and show alot more development  like she's slowly been getting throughout the manga.

Well every time we've tried to create a social justice thread it didn't work out. :/ But nah, it's not a generalization. It's the truth. And since it exists we need to consider it and point out the flaws of viewing characters in this manner. With Sakura's character, Kishimoto even stated that he thought of a normal girl in mind when creating her. So when he portrayed her like that, that's when people felt the need to bash her character. The issue is that she's still getting bashed even after everything she's done in Part II. There's not a single Naruto video on Youtube where the comments aren't calling Sakura some sort of "kitten" or "slut". You can claim it's a generalization but I guarantee you once a group of people criticize a character on a certain topic, then that's considered the character's flaw. And people criticizing Mikasa just because she's muscular....I mean if that doesn't scream sexism then what does. This is found in almost every anime fandom. It's nothing new.    I mean if people keep calling observations fallacies all the time and disregarding it then what's going to change....

 

But yeah, let's stop talking about it. All I hope is that people won't bash Ochako for trying just like they bashed Sakura. That's my only wish.

I have my own opinion of what AHK and you said, but I agree, let's drop it.

About Ochako: Here's the thing: So far, I think the majority of the fandom likes her. I'm not sure though what people think of her quirk. I got the impression that some think it is... lame? But then again, this is Ochako's chance to go all out.

No, but I just thought they have a bit of chemistry from what I can tell about their personalities.  Not saying they are canon or anything.  A crack pairing whim if anything but they are Class President and Vice president so they WILL spend some time together at least
