Given the ending isn't gonna be either of them dying, and it somehow ends up with them not being at each others throats for the next few years, I think 5 chapters isn't gonna be as restrictive as most people make it out to be.

I can't believe it is finally ending...this manga has dragged on for so long. Part of me is happy about it ending for that reason, and part of me is sad because I have been enjoying this series for years. Idk about this final fight...it will end in only five chapters? It was so hyped though...five chapters is way too short to live up to that hype, especially since so many other fights that we have seen have been longer. Doesn't seem like a good and conclusive ending could happen with only five more chapters. As far as pairings go, I can only see an open ending at this point. Unless Kishi really does decide to end this series with 'The Last' to make the ending conclusive and make more sense. Oh well, I will still love NaruSaku no matter what.

I'm a bit disapointed, I wanted Kishi start some new fresh stuff, as I think he and his editors made some bad choice in part 2 especially concerning the power inflation and themes. He damaged his universe quite a bit. 99,9% of his nins were made irrelevant power-wise, and Naruto is supposed to bring peace, making all those ninjas NEET . How is it still a good base for a new story?

He damaged his universe quite a bit. 99,9% of his nins were made irrelevant power-wise, and Naruto is supposed to bring peace, making all those ninjas NEET . How is it still a good base for a new story?

We're not definitely sure we're getting a new gen, but this piece of info implies that there might be something else coming.

I wish I could be as shocked as everyone else... but I'm just not. This manga has been disappointing me since the beginning of Part 2 with all the  focus on retrieving Sasuke above all else, and even more so since the Pain invasion. I've already made my peace with nostalgia from watching the former Openings of the old series this past couple years.

 

The actual first thing that came to mind when I heard this news was - "Yep. So NS isn't gonna happen after all", shortly followed by a realization that my thoughts of Sakura never redeeming herself from the mess she is being pretty much confirmed. Others may disagree but, really, how much can be done in five weeks, especially when the main focus will be Naru/Sasu? Looks like even the forehead thing from chapter 3(?) might not even come to play.

Exactly the potential has been lost a long time ago thanks to all the Uchiha kitten , but Naruto's goal has been becoming a Hokage its been established since the very beginning  and we are not gonna see even that in the manga  but all will be done in a freaking movie . now that the sasuke kitten is finally over and done with we need the story to actually pick up and be good....forcing it to end onf a kitten note just so it can end is terrible.

Naruto's ending should be in the manga the original work not in a half assed crap movie the same for NS  and all the plot points in this manga which are to many . All needs to be resolved   in the span of 5 chapters that's not even enough to properly finish S/N fight let alone close all the plot holes  this is ludacris  and kitten of a writing nothing more nothing less  if he does this then Kishimoto just butchered his own work into pieces for the sake of movie and more money .

i just knew that the series is ending in 1 month . am really sad. goodbyes are my worst enemy . i mean i know about the characters in naruto more than some of the people i know in real life .. but thats life. . i dont understand why kishi is rushing it.? i hope its for a good reason. as for the pairing i dont want to be negative or rushing things. but its safe to say that in the manga its an open ending and in the movie we ll get something about it. i hope NS happen in anyway .just for the sake of the message  kishi is trying to send..

imo its better to accept that the open ending possibility is so high right now . . and whether its rushed .disappointing or its good. kishi is trying to resolve the pairings in the movie .. so lets see how things go.
