Hmm....................... conflicted. Mainly because the voice actors will be different , and I blame the eng dub for pulling my leg with Taiora.  that Said I'll still probably enjoy it but again I'm not shipping anymore because this is the the FIRST series to "break my heart" with ships  though it's not the worst one. (which we all know what it IS) I will still watch it. I will still love it. Never the less, I will not fall for Sora blushing at both Tai and Matt nor the T.K. Kari moments because again unless they redo the ending of Adventure 2 and make it completely different (pairing wise) we know who ends up with who so no point in it anymore. I'm not amused that they are doing this when not even confirming if the ending will be redone, OR they stated the ending of Adventure 2 will be the same.  Same thing with Mimi and Izzy too BTW, no redone (and different) ending? NO POINT.

 

I hate the original director for thinking that sorato is a unique idea when its not and tai being made out too be a babbling oblivious idiot is not unique ether. And i have a strong feeling there gonna push tai with that meiko chick and i don't like that at all.

And totally agreed. Sorato is FAR from original itself so where does that director get off saying it was cliche for taiora to be a thing? Even IF the lines were changed I still did not see enoguh of Matt and Sora interaction in the series itself to convince me that they would be a couple. NOW compare that to Tai where Sora is constantly trying to rein his impulsiveness in and when Tai was beating himself up for letting her get captured by Etemon. Even if the dialogue subtlely hinted at Sorato in the context Taiora had ACTIONS that supported them. TAKE THAT DOWN stupid director, Mamoru Hosoda!

Um are you confusing the director that wanted sorato with the movie director? To be far the anime director that wanted sorato did not tell any of the production crew that he wanted sorato to be canon. So hosoda the movie director who only worked in a few episodes of the original anime probably thought taiora was the best pairing with chemistry would be the canon ship. Also it was not just the movie director that did not know about sorato but other writers that got hurt when sorato became canon and one writer became so hurt that he begged one of the storyboard artist to animate a taiora scene in that revenge of diobramon. 

So basically the anime director isn't exactly blameless here.

 

And  also subtlety can be good but relying to much on it and third party member to mainly develop a ship isn;t a good thing to do. 

As for my original idea the mc is a nice guy but thats not the reason why she mainly fell for him they have lot of similarities and mc is unlucky at love not because hes a typical  loser mc  but just unlucky. He's like one of his childhood friend but she fell for someone due to having to relate  to someone more then the mc. The childhoodfriend thought the mc was oblivious when he actually was not just to shy and awkward and having assumption that the childhood friend might like his other friend more.

Nice understanding girl going with the cool stoic lone wolf isn't that original either is it?  No, my problem isn't that the pairing was flip flopped, it was that Hosoda though he was being original when in fact his  idea of a pairing is pretty old as dirt too, and he used that illogical fallacy on why Taiora shouldn't have happened when they were no less of a solid choice as Sorato is not an "original" idea. and by the way, the dialogue may indicate Sorato in the original but I see NONE of that within their actions.

Umm hosoda is the one that thought taiora would be canon thats why he hinted at the ship in the movie. The anime director  that wanted sorato was name hiroyuki kaikudou.

 

The director for our war game was different then the director for the anime.

 

And yeah i pretty much agree with everything you said.

 

Also i think they should introduce a more original love interest for taichi i really do not like the unoriginal shy chick  that sort of reminds me of hinata. Why not do something that star wars did after the original trilogy cause during the time when the eu novels was still canon. Luke got many other women to fall for him and vice versa and he managed to fall for mara jade who he had great chemistry with and development. It never felt like a cheap token ship just because the mc did not get the girl or to make han more better.

My childhood ... ah i feel like writing 2 page wall of text whenever i heard about Digimon. I play all the game from Digimon World 1,2,3 PS1 , Digimon 4 and Data Squad PS2 , and now Digimon World Re : Digitize (still playing all of those now using Emulator), I also watch the anime Digimon 1-2 , Digimon Tamers and Digimon Frontiers on TV show it appear each Sunday morning (i want to start collecting all the episode but it's hard finding the old one).

 

I don't know why i feel like people like Pokemon more, i for one like Digimon more i feel like it's far more superior, the creature looks more cooler, the story have more depth and meaning, the character have real development. While pokemon on the other hand you need to catch the creature using that pocket ball (i don't know why i feel bad about it, it looks like the MC forcing the creature to become his) while in Digimon the creature meet and have deeper bond with it's tamer. The story is shallow, the MC goes around town collect badges and goes to tournament/coliseum and that team rocket they are boring the way they were defeated and their pokemon is the same over and over again, while Digimon there's evil bad guy/digimon trying to disrupt the balance between 2 world. The tamers themselves it's weird feels like they don't grow at all it's been years they look the same and with the same goal.

 

I don't know how many season did i miss , what is it after Digimon Frontier ?? i heard there was Digimon Xros Wars and this one is a remake or continuation of Digimon World 1. Too bad the game only on console, i'm very excited about the upcoming Digimon World Next Order , i hope they gonna bring it to PC.

 

A bit surprise though ... after scrolling and reading post here people were actually talking about romance , it actually never cross in my mind that there's gonna be romance in this Anime , i really hope not it's already perfect as it is, oh i remember there was romance in Digimon World 2 once a love the protagonist Daisuke (with Veemon) likes Hikari (Taichi younger sister), but he is jealous of Takeru (Yamato younger brother) because they were close friends , i don't know what happen after that. There is no romance in Digimon Tamers and Frontier if remember.

 

I still don't know why in Digimon World 1 only Agumon and Gabumon can reach their Mega form, the other remains in their Ultimate form.

Garudamon did not reach Phoenixmon

Zudomon did not reach Vikemon

Lilymon did not reach Rosemon

Holy Angemon did not reach Seraphimon

Angewomon did not reach Ophanimon

Hmm.... so i miss half season, it was when i was a kid my house only has 1 TV and digimon show appear each sunday and at the same time with boxing show my dad wants to watch that so, can't be help i ended up miss a lot season.

 

I'm waiting for the BD release, and i heard it's only have 5-8 episode and the rest will come next year ... what a disappointment. I guess it's not really green light, there must be a lot of problems on making this happen.

 

Yes i play Digimon Digital Card Battle, the Intro is the best out of all the other game, soo awesome cool. It has a cool concept , too bad they didn't make the sequel. Digimon game always different, it never maintain it's predecessor core gameplay, i wonder what bandai namco thinking when making these games, Digimon World 4 is the worst of all the game, that game is total fail.

For me: Magnamon , Veemon armor digivolve from digi-egg of miracles, the fact that it can only be use once and after that the digi-egg is destroyed is awesome, also i heard this digi-egg is 1 of 7 digi-egg of legendary knight digimon or something like that, it means there are 6 other scattered across the digital world, but to bad this mystery never be brought again. And BK-Wargreymon, he so strong he can take on Wargreymon and Imperialdramon Fighter Mode and still win. Other than that : Sakuyamon, Ophanimon, Lilithmon, Rosemon, i like female digimon not only sexy they are very strong, usually when first introduce they are stronger than any male digimon, btw that fight between Angewomon and Lady Devimon is hilarious , when they slap each other face, grab each other hair, because both of them jealous of each other   in Digimon World 1 anime.

I know Digimon Digital Card battle is my favorite, like you said, it had good concept pity they did not sequel. Oh man it was the closest that from real card game. Another interesting card of Digimon was in Digimon World 3.  Now I am trying to get Diigimon Cyber Slug.

 

In new series let's see how would be Digimon Universe in Oct.  I am hype with Digimon Tri part 3.
