The two other reasons I have about Infinite Tsukuyomi not happening, other than the main one that is because I don't think Kishi will change the plot this drastically, are the Kages arrival that we have yet to see and Madara's trump card. There's still much that we got yet to see.
Kages arrival and action are being waiting and it's going to be soon. It can't be skipped.
Same goes for Madara's trump card. Once Madara's trump card happen, it won't just be a few panels, it will drag with showing his plan and the action along with it for more than a chapter.
Plus, Kishi is focusing so much on the events now with the tree and Madara and the characters. I think if he wanted for the Infinite Tsukuyomi to happen, he'll be at least less focusing on all that now and focus more on the genjutsu world when it happens.
All this, just with the awaited events and what's happening now, won't let the Infinite Tsukuyomi to happen. That's my take. If it ever happens, well, I think I would want to see how it would happen after all this XD
