I'm still wondering if Kishi really did omit Naruto's reaction to Sakura's speech on purpose. Could it really be that he wants to keep the fans guessing as to whether Naruto still has romantic feelings for her? I'm not sure want to believe at this point.

But even if he just made some sly smile it shouldn't really be an indicator of anything. I guess I as well miss those moments when Naruto admires Sakura. It's stuff like Naruto not reacting to Sakura that reinforces the believe that Kishi really did sweep Naruto's feelings for her under the rug, so I understand why some are desperate to see Naruto react to her in a significant way. I do too.

Thing is, the next time Naruto shows interest in Sakura, it's game over NH. NH is betting all of there chips on Naruto losing his love for Sakura after her confession. Best way to keep drama is to keep romance hidden. We will probably see Naruto's feelings for one of the girls soon and I'm going all in that Naruto will still maintain his feelings for Sakura.

About Naruto's poker face I personally loved it, he didn't have to speak Sakura said everything that was on his mind and to reinforce that in 2 panels we only see Sakura's mouth and Naruto's head up to his mouth, Naruto is speaking trough her or she is speaking for him and it highlights their connection, I really like when Kishi does these kind of things altough I get the impression that no one noticed it.

Damn, I really like that interpretation of purposely covering Naruto's mouth. It seemed particularly noticeable how Naruto's mouth was covered in both panel, that it seems Kishi did it with some intent. This could legitimately be the reason.

To make pairing drama kishi ask naruto to drink amnesia potion so he didn't mention anything romance come from him, so narusaku isn't "consider" canon already.
And to make sure it, he side sakura appearance and role so other pairing can look promising while naruto himself don't confirm who he love.
So he choose silent.

I wouldn't call it desperation is more about consistency. Anyway when I start posting on forum NF is where I started so is normal that I will visit Konoha Telegram whenever a new chapter is realize, sadly I witnessed how poor the majority of the forum opinion is towards Sakura and Sakura SS fans believe that we NS and other neutral fans hate Sakura because she does not like Naruto, I mean some hate her on others just see her as a pairing fodder to recreate the Uchiha clan. That's quiet sad, that's why I want her to get some more love and recognition from the Naruto verse including Hinata and Naruto accepting and letting her know how important she is to Naruto/to him. Since I'm really tired of the negative talk about her confession and her bashing.

I don't believe Naruto will express any romantic feelings towards Hinata unless Kishimoto was really convinced by the Sakura haters. I really doubt he would allow his fans to dictate the direction of his Manga. In other words I will say the next time Naruto show is feelings it would be pasted on their forehead that he loves Sakura and Sakura only.

I did notice what you said about his face, but like I said the ambiguous stuff is getting out of hand, Sakura cares about Naruto and Naruto cares about Sakura, by refusing to make Naruto recognize Sakura just to create more drama and tension the most you do is give more ammunition to the ones that doesn't like her and that is really getting annoying at this point, it has being almost 4 years since readers have a negative opinion about Kishimoto's Heroine and he is not doing anything to help, why? Is this because he wants to create drama and tension.






Now I think I need to stop since the chapter was too damn good to make NF opinion and Kishimoto's drama drive me away from how amazing Sakura, Kakashi and Ino was in this chapter

One thing I liked about this chapter a lot was how Shikamaru and Ino took on the important roles that their fathers previously handled with such dignity. And even Hinata seems to slowly take the more proactive role the previously seemed more shown through Neji in regards to fighting.

Everyone is taking on the will of the deceased. And that makes me think that if Tsunade doesn't make it the same patterned could be followed by Sakura as well. I know some people have issues with characters dying but if it's handled appropriately it could come out beautifully, just like it was with Jiraiya's death and how it served to advance Naruto's character.

There's also that one time when Kishi was asked about Jiraiya's death in an interview long ago that Naruto needed to grow up. Then he said that Shikamaru also grew up, which I associate to when Asuma died. Then he went on to say that Sakura also needed to grow up and if we follow the same pattern as before the answer can be obvious. Later he went on to say that Lee didn't need to grow up anymore, although that maybe was contradicted with Neji. Or maybe that meant that Gai wasn't gonna die.

But NF in general is biased towards Sakura and Hinata. What would be interesting would be what the japanese fandom think about all of that and from what I gathered it is different from here and that's what really matters, not the opinion of the American fandom who for the most part don't even buy the manga. Even then I don't need the others to make up my opinion, being in the majority doesnt prove you are right, history has proven this time and time again the contrary is true because the majority is mostly made up of followers who can't think for themselves and are easily deceived.

I just reread and there is something that bothers : everyone in this chapter used doton jutsu but isn't that a clear violation of Kishi's own rules or did I miss something ?

Edit : seto, izzy, and kage aren't neutral tough. I had a friend in NF who was neutral (dantaeres) because he hated everything about Naruto and even tough most of his predictions came true (he also predicted NS) he stopped reading the manga because it went really bad from his perspective, he told me that he would rather have preferred for his predictions to be false than for it to happen like that, he was neutral because he couldn't care less if he was wrong as long as it made sense.

I want to say about Naruto's expressions in this chapter. Naruto is just silent cause he's letting Sakura delivers his message to the alliance. He knew that she knows what she's talking about, and knew that she understands him. That's all for his expressions. Plus, nothing could have replaced these expressions. If a smile was putted then it's the same, showing that she knows what she's talking about.

Naruto can't do anything else cause if he did, her important moment will be cut or interrupted. Sakura needed this moment and Naruto reinforced it with his silence as it shows that she's the one that understands him the most, and letting her give the speech.

@Awes9: Your interpretation for the two panels of Naruto and Sakura is nice. Kishi could have drawn it that way to let us see something from it.

Apparently any NaruSaku interaction that doesn't end in the pairing as 100% canon is trolling. I guess people just don't like drama and suspense in their stories.
