Hinata is not a filler character, she is a secondary character and main characters have ended up with secondary characters in previous anime... So her being a "filler girl" or any other non-Sakura female character for that matter...

Yeah, well if so, Sakura is always going to be there patching him up and in the process, unintentionally teaching him some discipline, which quite frankly, he needs most of the time.

My main concern with Hinata is that most of her fans treat like a main character whilst she has been portrayed as a side/supporting character and that's all right to a certain point. I mean I wouldn't be arguing much on Hinata if Kishi had given her a better development or a healthier interaction with Naruto that portrays her in a light that is suitable for him, which makes me doubt NaruSaku, but that is not the case quite frankly.

There's something called "character growth" that would have gotten Hinata out of her shell to help Naruto... she hasn't had enough of it, evidently, or else she would have at one point tried to help him when he was suffering as a child, being shunned by everyone.

But wheneve Hinata can deliver, she does... A relationship with Naruto would do her a world of good to be honest, and Naruto needs the change of pace... He's been arguing with everybody for ages and he'd get sick and tired of arguing with someone, and another thing with Naruto is how he deals with shy people...

It would do her a world of good, yes. Not Naruto. He may have been arguing with everybody for ages, but that's just how he is. I argue with people a lot; it's just the type of person that I am. Since it's who I am, I don't tire of it. It's just my way of expressing myself. Naruto needs someone to bounce off of, which Sakura is a great candidate for. Plus, NaruHina, as pointed out before by someone, would most likely turn into a "yes, yes" relationship, where Hinata goes along with everything Naruto says regardless of what it is. That's not what Naruto needs, he needs someone who can tell him with no hesitation when he's wrong (Sakura).

When Hinata (or any other shy person) does not speak up Naruto asks her (them) to speak louder, and if she (oh, you get it...) doesn't say what's really on her mind he asks her again until she does... That is one of the many traits that Naruto has formed on his nindo.

Just because he handles shy people well doesn't mean that he'll end up with a shy person. This is Naruto; he handles everyone well Look at how many people he's talk-no-jutsu-ed.

@NaruSaku1 I support both, but I'm fighting for NH (and any other pairing) because everyone is NS here... And just because he doesn't wanna follow his mom's advice, doesn't mean he doesn't love his mom, where did you get that from?

I'm not sure if you've conceded any points since you wrote this, but I'm gonna respond to your original post (after you conceded the Kishi-can-do-anything argument anyway). This thread's been moving way too fast for me lately.

We all know Sakura cares for Naruto, but she also cares for everyone she's around as well... They might have a very strong bond but that doesn't necessarily mean that they will end up with each other... Naruto may forever be banished to the "friend-zone"...

Besides, with all their bickering and stuff it seems to be resembling sibling love more than actual love... And Sakura's "faux" confession seems to be evidence of her putting her own interests aside and trying to stop Naruto from getting hurt as opposed to trying to get her feelings across...

Bickering? When do they bicker? I see it every once in a while in fan fiction, but I can't remember the two ever having an argument in the manga. Sakura's a little abrasive towards him (in a typical tsundere fashion I'd say), but Naruto usually backs off before any potential argument can start.
As for the confession, I'm not sure what your point is. Is it that Sakura trying to help Naruto disqualifies her having feelings for him? Even if she doesn't love him yet, the point is she still cares about him enough to kill/be killed by Sasuke, and also to have Naruto hate her. To me, that proves that, regardless of whether or not she loves him yet, Naruto's the person she cares about the most.

Also, we have to take into account Naruto's mentality... To him, Sasuke is his nakama, and his nakama are more important to him than he is to himself (The Cloud Ninja pounding on him is evidence of this mentality... and pretty much everything else in the manga...) Naruto knows that Sakura loves Sasuke (or at least has been given that impression) so why would he get in the way of what his Nakama (i.e. Sakura and possibly Sasuke) wants...

Isn't that the point? If it was up to Naruto, he's gladly step aside in order for Sakura to be happy. That doesn't mean he doesn't have feelings for her. Even Sai's flashback (which Kishi elected to show AFTER Hinata's confession) confirmed that he was still in love with her after Sasuke's betrayal. The point is he doesn't deem himself worthy to be with her. Which is a bit ironic, since that very thought process is what makes him worthy to be with her.

Finally, Naruto and Sakura are just TOO different... I think the only thing they have in common is that their both loud and that they both care about their Nakama... They clash way too much for anything more than a friendship to develop and if their relationship gets broken up, then their friendship is more than likely to follow and that will ruin the team dynamic...

Naruto and Sakura are more than responsible enough to know that breaking up the team EVEN FURTHER is not an option...

In another post, you said they were 'seme' (I don't think that's an appropiate term, but I assume you meant they're both outgoing), and here you said they are too different. To me, their different/similar personalities both mesh and complement each at the same time. Sakura's more the analytical type, while Naruto doesn't tend to think too much before acting. On top of that, Kishimoto himself pointed out their complementary personalities during the Chuunin Exam, with how he compared Naruto to 'Earth', and Sakura to 'Heaven'. Keeping in mind that Heaven is often associated with yang, and earth is often associated with yin, I think any potential yin-yang argument works much better with Naru/Saku than any other pairing in the series.

Also, some of your comments make it seem like you're looking at the Naruto pairings as if the manga was some western sitcom. Maybe some themes are shared, but I really doubt Kishi is planning on what would happen if Naruto and Sakura ever broke up. If/when they get together, it would obviously be near the end of the manga (unless Kishi decides to make a spin-off, LOL), and so I can almost guarantee you that they wouldn't break up. Thus, the argument that they wouldn't risk it for fear of not being friends again isn't something I can see happening outside of fan-fiction.

Then please tell me in what shounen manga have you seen the main protagonist ending up with a secondary shy character??? Because I have read enough shounen manga to know that the protagonist always ends up with the tsundere.

Of course that is a possibility. However, I believe there is enough evidence hinting that this will not be the case.

Since both couples and siblings bicker (and sometimes in a very similar way) I wouldn't call this strong evidence to support a simple brother/sister relationship. Also, Sakura has shown interest in Naruto's opinion of her physical appearance in a very non-sisterly way. If they are platonic, that is one thing, but to say they are brother-sister would be false as Naruto at least has factual romantic feelings for her (obviously, non-brotherly). I would only call it brother-sister if neither felt romantic feelings for one another; once one person has those feelings, I don't think the relationship can be read that way.

Also, we have to take into account Naruto's mentality... It is true that Naruto is a very selfless person, and the selflessness reaches to his romantic interest as well. He is the only character out of the 3 big pairings who has exhibited selfless love (he gives up his chance to be with Sakura in order for her to be happy). Yes, Naruto would do this if that was what Sakura chose. Obviously he does not want Sakura to be unhappy, and her happiness means more than his own. But the question is, will she choose this? By the end, I doubt it. Sakura has to be the one to choose him over Sasuke, yes, but just because she likes Sasuke now doesn't mean she will by the end of the story. Also, just because Sakura loves Sasuke does not mean he loves her back. There is little to no evidence supporting Sasuke having feelings for her beyond comrade.

At this point, there is NO team dynamic being featured in the manga as far as team 7 is concerned. They are each separate and have been for awhile now. Naruto does his thing, Sakura her thing, Sai his thing, etc. I have to admit, this disappoints me, because I liked their dynamic a lot, and it doesn't make sense that Kishi used to focus on them and then sort of drops them later on. But anyways, your statement about ruining the team dynamic would only be true if their relationship didn't work. Obviously, if they get together for real, I doubt there will be any breaking up. It will be a done deal.

And about them being too different, I'll give you some chapters to look up to prove that they are quite alike (I'll focus on part I)

Ok, I'll stop there, but it was extremely obvious that Kishi intended them to appear very similar. In many many panels they are shown with equal expressions, thoughts, and feelings while Sasuke does not share in this similarity.

Naruto and Sakura are more than responsible enough to know that breaking up the team EVEN FURTHER is not an option...

That's only assuming things wouldn't work out.

Thanks for posting that list! I didn't start reading the manga till Part II, so there's a lot of N/S stuff I've forgotten about, or just didn't happen in the anime. It's nice to see our pairing was standing on decent footing even in the beginning of the manga.

They look really similar, but then again, it's in black and white, so I can't really tell. I think their outfits both sort of have that same civilian vibe, but I'm not sure how many other characters wear clothes like that. I will say that Kushina's outfit look closer to Sakura's than Hinata's though.

1. That's no excuse. She would've just had to stop being a sissy. Plain and simple.

Yep, they do dress similar except compared to their clothes, its like inverted to the other. I can't quite describe it though, I'm no fashion expert. Sigh, if only there was/going to be a time where Kushina and Sakura would interact somehow and someway like in a vision or something like that. I'm sure Kushina would really love Sakura, especially if she knows Sakura's connection to Naruto.
