To be fair, Bleach has been in failure category since the Soul Society arc ended. That's when it went to hell and most of us were only reading either out of bordedom or because some chapters were so bad that they were good. Naruto, on the other hand, didn't plummet until after the Pein arc ended. In other words, Naruto sucked for 250 chapters whereas Bleach has been sucking for roughly 486 chapters.

Naruto at least had the potential to be a masterpiece. I never saw that potential in Bleach, even when it was good. In my eyes, failure to even try to live up to that potential perhaps makes up for the fact that Bleach had been sucking longer than it had.

I disagree. Bleach had the potential, the first arc and the SS arc were good and interesting, The Arrancar arc had it's good moments but it was wasted potential because Kubo can't into world building, the rest can go to the trash

Oda won't mess his ending up. He has stated he already has it planned out and he's come out and said he doesn't let fans influence his work. Kishi and Kubo never gave that kind of assurance.

The anime has been animated really well as of late, the most recent episode looked great. Not to mention, Robin was effing hilarious/adorable with her reactions regarding Ryuunosuke XD
