The cost of tickets per country is going to deviate based on factors such as distribution, marketing, merchandise, ect. "The Last" can't charge too high for people to watch, otherwise people would be disinclined from paying it any attention.02

Much of the negativity is stemming from Yahoo Japan, 2chan, and various other foreign websites that India probably doesn't pay much attention to or is even aware exists for the most part. There's just as much positive feedback given by Japanese and the more outspoken Western audiences to mitigate the malice felt towards "The Last". 02

Kids aren't the only target market. Don't forget about the casuals who will watch anything labeled as "Naruto" while paying little attention to reviews or the goings on behind the curtain.02

Again, it's not difficult to find this information on websites like IMDb.02

No, I used Kolkata as a minimalist example to prove that even the city with the smallest population from the examples given by NaruSaku256 would likely yield a greater turnout compared to New Zealand. This isn't a compare & contrast between Bollywood cinema vs "The Last" because it's obvious that Naruto doesn't carry the same acclaim like brand name films.
you are right here..
Naruto, in fact anime isn't that popular over here
In my college, I barely found 3 to 4 anime lovers of which ...one is a girl whose favourite anime is a shoujo (Maid Sama)
and many of anime lovers stopped watching Naruto after it was stopped airing in India,
honestly, among the handful of anime fans most are DBZ/OP fans ....
And in some Indian anime groups, I found that many of them stopped liking it cuz of a bunch of plotholes & I've even seen some who say that Kishi is just copying DBZ story
Few months ago, I saw a post which says "Seriously! How can Naruto be more popar than Hunter x Hunter"
so I can safely say that airing it in India will be huge loss as most of them (non-shippers) won't swallow this movie!
