Is this really going to be 10 chapters? It's pacing is so slow right now if it going to do anything.

Hey I'm at work filling out reports until my shift ends. So I was in no hurry. Not like I was actually paying attention to that chapter though.

Summary time:

Naruto leaves then Bolt catches up with the bento his mother made for his father. Salad I guess realizing this is a perfect excuse to catch up to Naruto if caught asked for the Bento. Bolt is reluctant to give it up for some reason those my quick read through he seemed  to want to dispose of it as quick as possible and was kittening about his dad leaving so fast. Salad say something about the importance of a bento Bolt has the image of he is mom flash through his head and gives it up. So Salad and Chou follow after the Hokage and are spotted by something that looks like a mini ten tail. This lets the werido with the ceiebi guy (whose name is shin) who has those black bars pein has around his eye to see them so he sends shin out to get them. Turns out Naruto is using the sage mode to see if Salad and Chou give up on chasing, but then they are attacked by Shin they fight for a page and then Naruto comes in. The end.

 

Shin wants to have a cool Asian name but he will never have the cool Asian name that is Ling.  He should just stick to his rapper-wannabe monikers.

Do we still have anyone in Japan that is still active on this site? I kinda want to know how they think this spin off is going so far. I'm guess/hope they think it kitten but I'm not sure.

Does anyone want to read and analyzes that blast scene between Bolt and Salad about the bento? It too late at night for me to give any actual thought about it. But that seems to be the main meat of this chapter.

 

All i know is that we probably just got hinata hopefully one image in this spin off. If he wanted to he could have easily have made a scene/flashback of hinata give Bolt the bento but instead we get one image of her face. I think I was right about Kishi doesn't like her at all anymore and her would use her if it was absolutely necessary. Here it was for establishing Bolt connection to his mother, giving Bolt and Salad a moment to interact, and giving salad an excuse to go after naruto.

Hinata is just plot device, that's all she ever was. Kishimoto never gave her the decency of being a stand-alone supporting character.

Chapter review and First NH Troll By Kishi

 
What am I not surprise to see another chapter, filled with Uchiha interaction BS. What the kitten happen to the Senjus and the Uzumakis? Overall, the chapter is bunch of same old crap. However, I do give the credit to Sarada of her being like her mother in this chapter almost ever aspect of it (kicking ass and interacts with Bolt the way her mother has done with Naruto in the past). And further more, this proves only females can shine in Kishi's writing only if they are an Uchiha.
 
 



 
Well well well... what do we have here.  Not only does Kishi portrayed Bolt's relationship with his father to be an eye sore (except the first chapter), but it seems like Bolt may have mommy problems too. Or the very least, Hinata uses her son as a delivery boy because she cant do it herself, which means their marriage is not turning out to be the lovely doodle and non fairy tale, Disney couple that NHers claimed them to be. Either this be one of those typical Kishi troll or it very legit!

Yeah i agree somehow i have feelings kishi or whoever write this gaiden want to avoid naruto interacting to sakura at all cost... because if they did theres no way that i will be not in romantic way.

The creators feel very insecure about it because they know the truth. Further more, it will decrease the chances of NH screen time if Naruto is shown to be by Sakura's side.
 

I'm sure Sakura is in love with Naruto since long ago. It was clear. You just don't write in databooks that "Sakura still doesn't know her feelings about Naruto" if it's not for something to happen in the future. LOL
Sakura and Naruto were supposed to end together, and during the process, someone told Kishimoto that sentence he said about Sakura, that she would be a terrible women toward Hinata. It's not about Sasuke. It's all, again, about Hinata. Poor small fragile precious hime Hinata... =/ (I just understood something at the moment : WHY KISHI MADE SAKURA AWARE OF HINATA'S FEELINGS FOR NARUTO - This is it. This is for her not to step in and let Hinata have Naruto. So it's a drama in the end. Sakura loves Naruto but she let Hinata have him ... also she always felt unworthy of Naruto....)

 
Agree. Just look at the fake smile she gave the NH couple when they exchanged their vowels. I think all this OOCness has to do with everyone once being trapped in the genjutsu.

^Oh so he did give up and not want to do it and Salad chastised him for it. Shikamaru lied I think, but was also clearly pushing for Bolt to go after Naruto. Not sure his relationship with his mom but he did feel guilty once Salad reminded him the importance of a bento. Still didn't go after his dad though.

Haha when bold think about his mother he looks sad or dissapointed. That means somethings happen between him and hinata. My biggest concern is that little creature who looks alot like ten tails. Is kishi telling us that MAYBE this is all infinite tsukuyomi or just trick to lure all fans he loss.

This only proves that Hinata was the perfect Japanese wife. Making bento for her man Naruto, how sweet. <3

So, here are my reactions to Gaiden 03:

 

- Bolt is in this chapter. Good, I missed this little brat.

 

- What's up with Shikamaru smiling when he notices the bento and says "that's what he meant by 'say sorry'"? It makes him look like a jerk. I guess that's his personality in Gaiden: Shikajerk. 

 

- Stop with all the sad Bolt panels, Trollimoto, I already feel bad for him...

 

- The level of stubbornness both Salad and Bolt show over something as stupid as the bento argument makes me cringe. What is it, a fanfiction?

 

- Mitsuki interacts with Chouchou so Bolt and Salad can have their "glance fight" alone... And it's cute. MitsuChou all the way lol. Btw he doesn't have a last name, meaning Chouchou would remain an Akimichi if she married him, so it would be just like the Sai & Ino scenario to keep the InoShikaCho going. 

 

- Am I the only one who thought that the sad face Bolt makes while thinking about Hinata after the "prepared by a loved one" comment was a sign that he isn't sure if dad loves his mom back? Just me? Ok then.

 

- Also I don't like Hinata's new hairdo. Plus all the promo art for the NH family shows her with long hair, so this seems like a continuity error.

 

- And wouldn't it make more sense if Bolt thought about the exact words his mom used while giving him the bento? It would be more dramatic + I really want to see a Hinata & Bolt interaction.

 

- Shikajerk letting Salad and Chouchou go after Nardo is such a big WTF moment. He was against Bolt playing with a shadow clone because it was somehow distracting for Naruto, but he's ok with the girls following hokage when there's a wild Uchiha in the forest?! Gimme a break...

 

- The panel with Salad smiling to Chouchou as they leave is really cute though. Aww!

 

- Wait, Onion's name is Shin? It sounds like "shin", the japanese word for "new/neo"... So he's literally called the New Uchiha. Lame. 

 

- Salad and Chouchou kick too much a** for academy students. I'd lie if I said I didn't enjoy the fight though. Finally something shouen-like!

 

- Haha, oh boy, it ends with another punch for the SS folks! They kept saying that if Onion attacks Salad, then Sauce will show up to save the day. But it's actually Nardo who saves her lol.

 

- No Sasuke this week. GOOD.

But from what I got, Salad told Boruto that he's not the protagonist, and if he is, Uchiha has more prestige than anyone else, so Boruto gave up.

Kishi probably change the hairdo because his editors were saying people weren't liking hinata's look or something so he changed it for her to have shorter hair now.

Like i said Kishi most likely hates Hinata use her as little as possible.

But from what I got, Salad told Boruto that he's not the protagonist, and if he is, Uchiha has more prestige than anyone else, so Boruto gave up.

What? No Bolt had a bento for Naruto his mom made but Naruto left before he could give it to him. So he gave up Salad got pissed at him for giving up and said she take the bento to him. Then brings up the importance of bento. Bolt hands it to Salad leaves and then Salad and chou go after Naruto. (removing a bit from the scene but that's the gist of it)
