I haven't read any SS really so I can't speak to them directly, but it sounds like you need to do the same thing in SS fics that you need to do with NH fics. Only a handful have I read where they can portray NH in a realistic way without totally turning Hinata into some completely OOC character.

Well, Deku, I mean Izuku, is given his power, but it's his job to learn how to control it. But there is of course, a lot more to to his character than these two descriptions. He can be quite the crybaby, is humble, and a little bit dorky. And even if he's turns out to be like option 2 of your description, it's not generally something negative in my eyes. It's up to the mangaka how he decides to portray Izuku and if he can break those walls of stereotypes.

Btw, can you tell me a little bit about Nanatsu no Tazai (or whatever way you write it)? So far, the whole reason why I have been avoiding it is b/c of - don't hate me-  the female main character. I hate it when girls are becoming objects for fanservice (I saw this part where Meliodas was grasping her boobs, -.-). She doesn't give me this boastful and confident aura that I get from other girls such as Sakura or Nami. And can she contribute to a fight? I don't like it if girls get protected 24h. Granted, I've read somewhere that she does help out the seven sins in dire situations, but it's not making strong a impression on me. I'm generally someone who likes action chicks

But I'm willing to give this manga a try b/c it is given a lot of good praise.

Well, second type - is those who destroy their enemies in 1-2 shots.

Well, 7 deadly sins aka Nanatsu no Taizai - story about 7 people that did horrible things, they recived those tattoo of "sins" each of those are classic sins in books. But all of them was forgiven by King of England (yeah, it's not japanese-based story, hooray! At last!). There is 110+ chapters, and extra chapters that show's past of each sins or their origins.

Main Hero - Meliodas on of those sins.

Elizabeth - not fighting type heroine, I was afraid that she will get those traits of early Lucy from FT or Hinata, but - no, she may be weak, but she put up a fight when she needed.

Fan-service in thins manga resolve's only around those two, no more of it like in FT or other manga's.

That's literally only new shonen that I have hope in. One of the greatest thing's in it - no stereotypes in characters of main heroes. Of course there is some stamps of shonen, but I didn't saw interaction like this in other's shonens. And if you like badass girls in fights - there will be a plenty of those. And ooops there will be a little fanservive with another female, but literally 2 or 3 scene's in those 110 chapters. Ask me anything about it, if you intrested.

 

 

Saw you guys talking about FT, OP and TG and HxH, all of them are good manga and can easily surpass Naruto in terms of plot!  But if you guys really want to get to another scale, just read beserk. Its a shame that Kentaro Miura behaves just like HXH author.

The Breaker is good. Well if you don't mind with the ending you could read veritas. It is manwha(korean graphic novel). Korean is know for realistic aproach.

Well, yeah but I put Ichigo in that type, because he use raw power more than thinking.

The Last should have been around Team 7 and Taka!! Not Hinata, 7 and Taka were more revelant than her and if a pairing had to happen, it should have been NS since it literally won't take the movie into a genre that it isn't and the story would have been more meaningful

The Breaker: New Waves - sequel, of 183 chapters. It's part 2.

And there will be part 3.

Pretty good story about secret world that lives within ours, about martial art's and a lot of cool twists in story.

I made him watch/read Hunter x Hunter, so... I must read/watch Berserk.

It's is VERY gory, so if you don't like those things its not a must watch/read but if you don't care about it....oh boy...

Be aware that it's extremly tought, there is ALOT like REALLY ALOT of blood/gore and other mature stuff in there, I don't mean that it's made only of that, but there is "realistic" scenes of sword fight's, so a lot of damage to human body.
