Well, here's the short story. Before I read the final two chapters, I accidentally got spoiled that Naruto is getting a sequel. So my headcanon was this:

 

Naruto defeats Sasuke and now everyone is back home, recovering from the devastation of the war. Kakashi becomes the Hokage and Naruto now has nothing but to achieve that title as well. However, mysterious group (Kaguya's relatives) emerged and plan to bring her back (because the ending truly sucked). Naruto, now trying to achieve his dream, will have to face the worst.

 

See, I would thought maybe they go to a sequel because Sasuke is done. Sasuke will leave as a wanderer with or without Team Taka and he will have a closure with Team 7. Not to mention Sakura will say goodbye and it will be a start over relationship like a real closure. Naruto and Sakura are not together yet but the sequel will get them together now that Sasuke is over. But sadly, we got a conclusion and boy did it suck big time.

 

 

Sounds good! Write eeeetttt! Set those plot bunnies free!!! And you'll feel better because you're totally reclaiming the ending!!

:) Yep! I want to make sure I have stories mostly written before I commit. Even if its just notes. That way I know where it's going and how it's going to end. (I will probably post the first chapter in the next few weeks.)

Oh, yeah. That's better. I would do what you do. It's disappointing to see discontinued fanfics because the author don't know how to write next although they have the ending in mind.

Just added point to my ending fanfic as something I'm going to address - that going NH would go against everything his parents wantd for him! So...thank you!!

I think it's insulting to see Kishimoto use Minato and Kushina as simple plot devices to mislead his readers. It's an insult to the fans, and you just don't do that to people who your readers. I especially hated it because Minato and Kushina were two of my favorite characters in the Naruto series and it's pretty heartbreaking to see them treated that way. At the very least they shouldn't have been misled into believing their son turned out the way they wanted to. Kishimoto did a disservice to his characters and his readers by doing that.

I'm working hard to get everything finished this year. So don't worry that they're still incomplete. Read happily, they'll be wrapping up soon. And they're all NS! 

 

Those all sound awesome, Tricksie! And I'm glad they're all NS. One could be a little worried since there are some SS ones in your favorites section

On another note, does anyone keep up with communities on ff.net? They are an easy way of keeping up with a pairing or genre you like. There used to be an active community from here several years ago. But it dropped off, the owner isn't on as much, and the staff have all moved on.
 
However since the ending, there has been a big boost in good NS stories, and we have been talking about starting another one.... Thoughts? Anyone interested and read enough fanfic to reccomend it to others?

I'm only a recent member to ff.net, and never really explored the communities in it. I wasn't even aware this forum had a community over there. Most of the time, I found new NS stories by reading a story, and if I liked it, id finish it and then look through that authors favs to see if they had any NS stories there. I'm not really sure where to go to find new NS stories, any new ones that I read are pretty much recommended by an author called azfaerydust, at the end of each chapter of one of her stories, she recommends an NS fic to read.

If you were to start one, I would totally be interested! I think it's a great idea!

I'm starting the anime to FMA. So far no one has ever criticized the anime and manga, so I don't think I will.

I'm already loving the brother-relationship b/w Ed and Al.

 

My honest opinon watch FMA Brotherhood it follows the manga 100% because at some point the original FMA anime gets into filler territory and becomes it's own story.

But for me it's just the opposite — distancing Naruto from those parallels and admitting that he wasn't following his mom's advice just proves that NS was the OTP until Kishi/SP screwed it up at the end with NH.

Don't worry! The SS ones in my faves are cause they're well-written and convincing. I actually don't mind SS, but only in fanfics where he's written as more compassionate and caring than his canon character.... So if I like Sasuke in fanfics when he's completely different, then that's the same as not liking the manga Sasuke at all, right?   hahaha! 

Seriously, a few fanfics helped me see a different side of some of the characters, like Sasuke and Gaara, which helps me write them better. But Naruto and Sakura always have such good chemistry, in almost every fix I've read it's hard to be convinced that they should be with someone else!

Speaking of Shounen, some of you might light Boku no Hero Academia. Everything looks generic, but surprisingly it is an enjoyable manga. Our MC is not the typical stupid shounen hero (aka Naruto), but actually very smart and strategic.

I suck at writing and would probably just join FF.net to leave of some of my reviews/ critique to some nice NS and Naruto fanfics in general.

I have a hard time finding good NS writers. Can you give me a few suggestions?
