Btw, it seems like everyone here likes One Piece and Fairy Tale. Am I the only one find those two mangas to be boring?

One Piece. I like it, but I'm still catching up. Can't say that I'm crazy about it or anything, but I also wouldn't say that it is an overrated manga.

FT... Well, with the recent occurences in the manga, I might give it a chance. So far, I've only heard negative things from many people, including my brother who says that the arcs get repetitive after a while.

I didn't see it...fully but I hate the animation for it...it doesn't fit TG at all to me, everything is too bright and the atmosphere doesn't feel right in certain scenes but that opening....I blame Trangster

That's fine by me. At this point, anything is a masterpiece compare to that.

I really like how Hide is acting like a clown but he's actually serious and he cares a great deal for Kaneki. It would have been great if Naruto and Sasuke's relationship were like that.

Development... Yeah, you could pretty much say that. If you look at AHK's sig, you'll know what we mean.

Dude, Kaneki's and Hide's friendship is one of the most inspiring and touching ones I've seen so far in mangas in my opinion. Hide is a great friend with top deductive reasoning and empathy.

I admit I am annoyed that they already messed up the beginning for TG. Thanks SP. I guess they want us to stay with Naruto forever.

I've gone up to volume three. After that incident of Hanami's mother(God that chapter was so brutal!!). I like Hide and Tohka. I don't like the MC yet but that's because he's still in the beginning of his development and the author has purposefully written him in a not so cool light. (Right now he reminds me of Ikari Shiniji). I'd probably like him when I actually see him developing though.
And now that I'm enjoying TG, I find myself too uninterested in the NARUTO series. I don't even go to the anti-THE LAST thread in 2ch because I don't care. It's my fault anyway. I knew the quality was dropping so I should have seen it coming really.

Yeah, you're at the part where Kaneki's "struggle" really gets brought to the surface, later on it becomes really fleshed out and he becomes a great MC. From what I know, a lot of people carry the same opinion as you at the start, they're neutral, and then later they became huge fans, which was purposefully done as you mentioned.

I love Touka, she is the queen! Hide is pretty cool as well, and has an impact later on. Hinami is another one that I like, she's pretty cute in terms of her relationship with Kaneki and Touka. My other favs haven't appeared where you're at, so I won't say much.

That's pretty much the effect TG has had on me, it's really made me forget about this trash series. Like I said, OP and TG saved me lol are the japanese fans still pissed, have you heard anything even though you haven't been around as much lately? Oh, and also, do you plan on catching up on TG via the Internet, or just catch up whenever you buy the volumes?

I love Hide for that reason too, he's a true friend to me! I actually thought the same about Naruto and Sasuke when I was reading TG, I felt the bond would have been wayy better than it actually is and Yes at Kaneki's development!

It's amazing how the author wrote Hide. At first, I thought Hide was this typical clown who's a friend of a main character but becomes a fodder later because the main character starts living in a different world and the clown will....just remain a harmless clown

But that didn't happen. Hide is continuously important in Kaneki's life and gives a great deal of emotional support freely. He's the same age as Kaneki but his heart is really big and mature.

I read it in Japanese. English is definitely going to be a lot different to Japanese.
I heard that the anime wasn't good and that the author didn't like how that made the anime. Coincidentally the anime is made by SP.

The anime is good, but SP really messed up the timeline and the actual story to the extent that the author took over season two's writing and decided to veer away from the manga and make it into an original story. He's probably hoping for another animation studio to give a proper adaptation to TG.

You might or might not enjoy it. There are definitely some flaws with this manga, but for me they weren't too annoying. Maybe it's boring too you or the whole concept of humanity being threatened by some supernatural species is not original.

It's better though not to let the hype influence your personal judgement about this manga though b/c otherwise you have high expectations for this manga that it might not meet for you. I've seen this happening to some people.

It's definitely slowpaced in the beginning, but things pick up soon really quick.

With that being said, it's good to know that even w/out reading it, it is better than Naruto

OP is fine though I understand why u don't like. FT... is very overrated. Never liked it.

Actually the best shonen nowadays is HxH, always in the life.
