But in all honesty, do these people know how to promote? They can tease a wedding dress or a wedding ring and it'll be much more hyped than the random stuff they're putting out.

I read Hegel during my first year of university but seriously don't remember. That time I read a lot of philosophy books so I don't know who is who and I stopped because somehow I got seriously depressed and lost the will to do anything else.

If this was the Game of Thrones, Hinata would've taken Neji's place and decide to change her clan. A character's death would have brought another one to rise.

I absolutely HATED that part. Even before this mess happened and I couldn't stand Hinata. That one act, focusing on Naruto-kun just after the death of her cousin, made her a permanent plot device in my book.

I'm really not sure why Naruto was the one that was more upset in that case. I mean that was Hinata's close family member and she's not even phased. Someone else should have been there to comfort Naruto. Anyone else would have been more appropriate. I don't know maybe Sakura? Why is it she never gets to be the one to comfort him when there is a major death? She should have been the one to do it for Jiraiya, not Iruka.

My thoughts exactly. Neji was a much more powerful character. And in the end could have been so much like Naruto, causing change within his family clan system rather than the whole of Konoha.

 

Hinata is just a forgetable side character. She's never risen to the challenge, has no desire to change the way her family structure is, no desire to do anything related to her clan or Konoha or anyone else outside of Naruto-kun. She's a cul-de-sac of a character — she's going nowhere. 

 

It does seem like Neji died as a segue to raise Hinata's importance level in the story. Which sucks. Because, yeah, they killed the wrong Hyuuga.

But I agree every single word you said. Neji alive would have become like Naruto in a way, for the hyuuga's family at least. He could have done major changes and actually be a leader.

 

Hinata doesn't even care about being a leader, which is sad really because in the chunnin exam in part one, she was showing more guts in doing something to change the hyuuga's view on her then she was doing in all the shippuden serie.

Naruto had all these out-of-nowhere feelings for Neji. And Hinata was still mooning over Naruto. Ugh.

 

And I so wished Sakura had been there for Naruto after Jiraiya died. But Kishimoto omitted almost all reaction scenes. Even if she didn't comfort him that night, it would have been nice to have a panel of her looking concernedly over at Naruto the next time they were together. *sigh*

Just wait we're going to get a huge barrage of SS sketches and promotional material just for them. It's a two-part marketing strategy. First NH then SS. I'm going to puke if that happens.

Talking about Jiraiya, i just remembered that I had hoped he would be brought back in some way or another. As a chakra memory or through some speech of Minato's. At least mentioned again. But no. And now it's over and it will never happen. That sucks.

So was Naruto just on autopilot for 2 years? He still hasn't realized Hinata's feelings apparently, and he hasn't made any progress with Sakura either. Heck he could still be a genin for all we know.

I understand the feeling, no wonder why you stopped. The Hegel thing i'm reading (after I finish to read Kant) is phisolophy of law... You know, it's right because it's right, fredoom, etc. It's just that I went to my clsses but as always didn't pay attention so I'm going to my exams with my own interpretations  If I fail because of Naruto, I'll laugh.

Naruto can be oblivious, but he's not that stupid. The girl jumped in front of a S-class ninja and literally proclaimed her love for him. He's blind if he didn't get the hint after that

I'm guessing they'll show the real end of Naruto in the movie. Since 700 was a clusterf*ck, and 699 was major trash.

Yeah, I was really disappointed, the only thing that was referring to Jiraya was when Naruto did his stupid harem no jutsu against Kaguya ( still facepalm at this even if it was a good strategie...to surprise her at least) and that Kakashi said that Naruto was more close to Jiraya then he was to his father or something like that.

 

However, I would have like to see something that would honor him as the great sennin that wanted to change the world, not like a pervert.

 

You know, in the end, I really would have liked to see Naruto, proud hokage, looking at his village while thinking about Jiraya and how he finally made his ero sennin wish come true, that would have made a much much better ending then what we read in chapter 700.

I don't see the reasoning behind what they did in 700. They just made Naruto look like a dead beat dad, and husband, who only seems happy in the office. He looks really depressed to me, like he regrets everything his life besides becoming Hokage. Basically he's lying to himself...
