They were supposed to get together...Sakura was supposed to love him back. What kind of story is this?

They were supposed to get together...Sakura was supposed to love him back. What kind of story is this?

The kind that doesn't make sense

No but really this kitten can only be good to hardcore NH/SS fans, those that wanted these pairings to happen for somewhat valid reasons should be pissed at this crap of an ending. He only had to do so much as:

- Have Sakura not fangirl on Sasuke in chapter 699 and have her wait for him with the development of the pairing off-panel (it's the only way this pairing and NH could happen anyway);

- Have Sakura work in the hospital and be in charge of it;

- Have Hinata be the leader of her clan;

- Have Naruto not be a kitten to is son and at least make a kittening shadow clone or actually behave like he would normally do and joke about it a little;

- Have Sasuke be kittening there with other people who love him for once;

- Have Team Taka and Orochimaru actually make an appearance and be given conclusion;

- Have Kabuto appear in the orphanage;

- Have the kids with decent hair;

- Have Temari behaving like a human;

- Have Tenten be more than just a weapons seller;

- Have Kakashi with a family of his own because he deserves it after the waste of space he was at the Hokage mountain;

- Have the main pairings actually interact.

 

This would be all it takes for me to not call this piece of kitten a bad fanfiction. Granted, it's still a bad epilogue beause NS should have happened, but this at least would have made minimal sense and wouldn't piss all over the character development.

Don't know if anyone noticed.  But people have been saying Kishimoto wrote or influenced the movie but here it says Story by Kyotsuka Maruo.  Don't know if that means anything tho.

My sig can't change because Kishi had to redo his whole story. Now he has to live with the fact he never made canon NS, the pairing that makes sense

You guys need to stop making Sakura into something larger to Naruto's character, and stop making Naruto come first. The mangas protagonist was intertwined with Sasuke and his story, his goal, and his development what shared with Sasuke despite being the title character. Sakura the main female was developed at the beginning to be distinctive from the main character not his main love intrest, her goal was to save or be acknowledged by the other main character and be strong. Naruto's so called love story with her was pretty much a minor quirk at that and easily expendable compared to the much more dire connections to Sasuke, his parents, the villians and growth. Hinata main distinction from all the rest of the side characters is pure love for the hero, and nothing more. Sakura is more than Hinata but she was never a sole factor in sharing relevancy with the main protagonist on Sasuke's level nor a prime love intrest since she has her own love story and goals with another character.

 

Sasuke himself has said he wanted to sever the bonds he hides in his heart, the cruelty of his actions towards his friends and Sakura are meant to be a plot twist and symbolism, and it is the reason why someone like him would end up with her, by wanting to rid of her existence, discouraging her, and being a total cold jerk with no reguard to her feelings or life he shows his commitment on wanting to go through the conviction of losing himself to the chains of hatred and severing his bonds which indicates he did care and deep down loved her before he made his choice to walk a path where even he would kill his best friend and strongest bond of all. Now he sees the light, he shows his true colors and in the end showed his love for Sakura by making a gesture to the girl in memory of his most loved bond showing her he accepts her love for him. IN part one he was interested in her when she shows her skills with genjutsu door, saves her from danger through out part one, and was willing to sacrifice his life to save hers and Naruto. Databook confirms that Sakura brought him light and love in his dark heart, meaning her grew to vaguely love her but choose to follow the dark path since his plot was about revenge and pivitol for him to fight against Naruto as a parallel to the plot.

I had a long conversation with my best friend NH, after a series of arguments about why I did not like the end, she finally admitted that "despite having not liked the end, she was happy for Naruto and Hinata together". I even managed to boot it that their daughter is an ugly child. I think that's how they feel, after all damned if logic and development when "my favorite couple win". This conformed me a bit, although they are celebrating by having happened, are not so happy the way it happened.

It only took me to read your 2 paragraph first to don't bother replying... I'm glad Kishi's message is of your taste. And I'm glad what you said goes against what Sasuke himself said in chapter 698 and before but whatever.

"Created by" may refer to Naruto itself, instead of the movie. "Story by" means that that's the guy who came up with the story of the movie. It doesn't say anything about who wrote the screenplay, though, so we don't wrote the script. If we had the info of the novelization, I think we'd know who really wrote The Last. At the end of the day, Kishi may not even be involved in the making of The Last as nothing more than a consultant.

I feel like the last three chapters (yes, including 698 and actually 693 when it comes to Sakura) invalidated the previous 697. With 699 + 700, you have total OOCness and character developments, relationships, and themes kitten on. With 698, as touching a chapter as it was, it made me feel like Sasuke leaving Konoha in the first place and everything that followed shouldn't have happened, if Sasuke watched Naruto and was jealous of him and everything. If he was envious of that certain strength Naruto had that he himself did not, he would have stayed and tried to gain it himself. He felt that way the entire time and yet he still did all those things? I can't swallow that, to be honest. And what made him change his mind at the end? Why was now different from all the other times Naruto tried to get through to him (besides that this is literally the end of the series and he had to change). I'm so unsatisfied.
