We will start by not ignoring Kishi's word and what he already estabish in canon.

Are these image look like dark Naruto with black hair? And to make it worse Charasuke is on the image too.

Kishi clearly says that when he thinks of one he thinks of the other (Kishimoto's 2012 interview), Dark Naruto is blond and with Kyuubi eyes. If the boy wasn't that close to looking like Sasuke I will let it slide but in the clips he look like Sasuke and when he is wearing the Mask he also look like Sasuke.

Before the movie spoiler were out we all thought that he was the real Sasuke when we saw the firts trailer.

My question are Why black eyes?
Why change his body looks?
Why black hair?
And why give Naruto the Sharingan If you didn't plan to relate our favorite character with the Uchihas?

People are free to believe what they want to believe I just think that if there were no similarities in any form no one with thought about him looking similar to Sasuke or SasaNaru kid has how they call him in other forums.

Now I will drop this subject.

I don't know, it's all up for grabs. I don't mind at all. I saw Menma as Dark Naruto. Nothing more, nothing less. Perhaps if he didn't have Minato's hair length, then it's just Naruto period. But yeah, no need to argue. It's all state of mind.

Fun to talk about it though. Kept this thread alive.

I do believe they are blue, but up for argument. Don't worry about it. It is Naruto's dark side and that's all I see from Menma. Hey, did you check my earlier post on the games I mentioned long time ago? Check it out. Ichihimelove, out of all people, found it for me. Nice of her.

But... he looks like Naruto to me. If Naruto had Minato's hair style (longer) he and Menma would look even more similar.

Also, isn't Menma's Kyuubi black? The black is supposed to be a stark contrast. Naruto, who is usually bright (blond and sky blue) and 'good' is now dark (black and navy blue) and 'evil'.

It happens in many other manga and anime. There's an 'anti' version of the character, only difference being hair color. They aren't meant to look like anyone else but their counterpart. Best example I can think of:

Vanitas is the "dark" half of one of the main character Ventus. I won't go into detail, but basically Vanitas is like a dark version of the other main character Sora. They look just alike except some stark color differences so people know that he is evil.

It's not blue it's black, when he dont have the sharingan activated his eyes are black not blue.
when he's defeated he becomes blonde and his eyes goes blue.
unless you are colorblind.

even in this picture u can see that his left eye is black.

I as kind of assuming that the low quality video or atmosphere of the movie may have dulled the blue to emphases the red. ' Not that I seen the movie or anything.

well first he has dark hair because i guess the complete opposite of blond hair which is light is black which is dark and second about the eyes...he is the villan so he definitely wont have him with green eyes or violet eyes.. he wanted to make him look cool (like sasuke) not funny..and third as for the sharingan i am not sure but i think he obtains it when tobi takes control of his body( tobi is inside menmas body) that's probably why he has right eye (our left) sharingan just like tobi....and well thats pretty much it

it's dark the left eye i even used photoshop and didnt find it on the "blue"'s pallete even on the naruto family book he has blonde hair with blue eyes exactly as naruto.
if u want to persist with this is not my problem, he's possessed by tobi and his hair went dark along with his eyes.


look at 0:44 and u will see naruto's family album pictures.

If that is the case, then it is just the darkness. Naruto's eyes are never 'blue' in dark night settings. Neither are Minato's. If he is only outside, at night, with no light, then it's official, his eyes are blue.

I think everyones gotten too caught up in the appearance to realize that the Similarity between Sasuke and Menma is in the path they both took. One of revenge upon the village for what they feel they went through.

this theme was allready explored during their second reunion which Naruto admitted as much.

Menma is the reflection of Naruto if he have chosen to have hate the village and revenge upon it for him being a jinchurikki. It should be obvious Menma was given the same treatment too, in other words Menma represents Naruto's darkness his dark side.

The reason why I didn't jump to the Menma bandwagon, is because Kishi change him too much. If others want to do the MenmaXHinata fan art make them do it since they are desperate for evidence and only go by what Hinata was saying about Menma being her man, for me they can stay with MenmaHinata if they want that isn't the Naruto I grew to love. We love that BAKA blond who grew in this amazing person with some of his old personality.
Look how fast SS fans start loving Charasuke because he was flirting with Sakura, something they always wish real Sasuke did, but after the spoilers 80% + were saying awful things about him in Tumbler.

I believe we should love Manna Naruto for being Menma Naruto, but we already know how an evil Naruto looks like from the original Manga and he look just like the original Naruto with Kyuubi eyes.

Kishi presented this Movie with a bunch of Orange and Pink. Still everyone can like what they want, my opinion is that if we love an original character for 2,3,4,5,6,7+ years it should remain that way but that's just me.

no im taling why he would seek revenge if he's happy on the village the problem is u guys are taking this as an Alternative World but it's just a genjutsu tobi can do whenever his wants he can even alter it like he did to "au naruto".

In manga, it was dark Naruto but in movie, it was created by Tobi's genjutsu (big difference) lol

I don't really think it's a Menma bandwagon.

It's an interesting difference between regular Naruto and AU Naruto. No, I don't want Naruto to be more like his AU self, and neither do most people. But it's still interesting to see a Naruto who is 'evil'. Sure, we saw Dark Naruto in the manga, but that was just Naruto's inner negative thoughts. It's wasn't completely opposite of him. It was how he 'truly' felt, but he's worked through those feelings. Dark Naruto in the manga WAS Naruto, or at least a small part of his mind.

Menma is more than just Dark Naruto from the manga. He really is opposite of the Naruto we know and love. He is not only negative feelings, he's that Naruto that took those negative feelings and let them decide his path. -prevalently, I was under the impression he is only bad due to Kyuubi and Tobi, but I guess I'll have to wait to see the move* He's supposed to be different, even his Kyuubi is different.

That said, I consider them 2 completely different characters. I wouldn't want the actual Naruto to be like him. But Menma -just Menma- is still pretty cool to me.
