yeah and it's all good for me, but my biggest worry is we won't be done with this subplot before the next hiatus and the Dark Continent exploration arc won't happen any time soon

It's an important plot yes, but it IS sidetracking from the Dark continent exploration though

Knowing Togashi, I don't think we will finish this subplot. I mean, maybe we will and he suddenly pumps out 30 something chapters like he did at the end of 2011, but it's highly unlikely. It's certain that we will not see the Dark Continent Arc anytime soon. I personally love this arc and don't mind this "detour" at all as it is focusing on one of my favorites, Kurapika. I'm afraid though that people will barely care about this arc b/c they have their eyes set so far into the future, that is the Dark Continent.

 

I honestly don't even care about the Dark Continent right now. This arc is so exciting: It's basically a Games of Thrones/ Hunger Games/ Battle Royale war on a Whale boat with 200,000 people as sacrifices. You can tell Togashi has planned everything out ahead of the time and pays utmost attention to every detail out there.

 

Chapter 368: The newest chapter made us realize the grim reality of this stupid succession war

People said that they don't care about the princes: Knowing Togashi, with time we will. Heck, that panel with Prince Momoze being chocked to death was brutal. Of all people, it had to be one of the youngest that died, and in such an awful manner, too. She had no trustworthy bodyguards, her hamster Nen beast was weakened as it used up all of her life energy, and worst of all, her own mother purposely let her be killed T_T I love Oito's humanity b/c everyone else seems to be desensitized to all the deaths already.

In all seriousness I'm in the midst of watching the phantom troop arc and holy sh it that was crazy stil got like 4 episodes to go before greed island, and then I believe The Chimera Ant Arc which is the most talked about it if i'm correct?  

 

Still Kurapika I got more respect for him then I thought i did initially.

The Phantom Troup Arc is one of the best arcs of this series! The Phantom Troup members are like a much cooler version of Akatsuki if you ask me, lol. Greed Island is more chill and sort of another training arc. You'll get to meet their cute mentor. Once you start the Chimera Ant Arc, I'd love to discuss things with you more! Next to the Phantom Troupe arc, the Chimera Ant Arc is one of my favorite shounen arcs ever. Those two arcs (and the current one in the manga) have cemented HxH as one of my favorite shounen mangas (and anime in general cause Madhouse went all in despite 148 episodes).

Trang!! it's been so long, how have you been? 

 

 

So far I can definitely say that 100 percent  especially when it comes to the the troup being a cooler version of the Akatsuki cause honest each of them distinct and unique personalities. 

 

I'll keep that in mind when it comes to Greed island, and if i'm not mistake isn't the Chimera ant arc like the longest arc in the series so far?

 

Speaking of Hunter x Hunter i bought the first two bluray sets ages ago, but i'm probably gonna get set 3 soon.. hint hint black friday lol 

 

 

i love the series though... albeit I might leave most of updates via tumblr, but i try to leave my updates here too.

To be fair, he did say he'll return at the end of the year b/c he got sent some Nippon ramen. I was skeptical at first and thought he was joking, but people on the HxH reddit who know Japanese said the tone and wording he used sounded serious...

 

If he comes back twice a year, that'd be something. I wouldn't mind getting 20-25 chapters each year...

 

...Is what I would like to say. I'm not gonna get my hopes up. And I got over my hiatus sadness pretty quickly (took me half a year back then, lol).
