Lol. It's really from a game, so can't really be like "What!!!"

You know, maybe it's Naruto acting like Sakura because she's dead along with others. So he wants to be yelled at, punched, etc.

I think the reason why the movie can't be an epilogue is not that Naruto might or might not end before december, but it's all the spoilers, in form of trailers and upcoming information of the movie, that we'll get and that would be huge for us because even in the manga we aren't that far. I mean just imagine. What if Sasuke gets a big scar in the face. Then we'll see in the trailer a post war Sasuke with that scar even though, we still aren't that far. You can go with this sample with every character of Naruto. It would not make sense and it'd be stupid, except they only show Naruto who is in a different country and doesn't mention anything of Konoha. But even then, I don't think the design of Naruto is how we all imagined future canon Naruto and again why already spoiler sth like that in a movie?

 

plus we still don't know what 'new era' refers to

if we see Sakura, it's sure she survived and didn't die, but you cannot spoiler that at this moment since ATM we aren't that far and still shouldn't know how everything in Naruto ends

Maybe new era means anime only to the point they can have Hinata as the heroine, NH going canon, golden Byakugan was made thanks to further into the future, and so on. Sakura will be anime TenTen.

Okay, bear with me people, I found tons of topics scattered all over the place, one of them was the announcement of the movie back in 2012. All of the threads, including this one had to be merged.

 

Please, listen to this: all discussions and information about and for the new movie need to be posted on THIS thread. The "New Era Project", however, has its own thread, so anything for that goes to that thread. I don't know if I thinking about merging that with this, because there might be more media coming from Kishimoto and Pierrot in the future.

On one hand there's nobody else that it really could be unless its supposed to be a new character that is relevant only to the movie which is unlikely 

 

On the other hand Kishi would have to make NS canon pretty soon to not spoil his own dealio

I still say that its not gonna be canon related  but a AU concept were Naruto is the last shinobi hence the "New Era"  at least that's what the headline says to me and his "Obito" design , its just to much to resolve all the plot points in just a matter of a few months not to mention no author  would spoil the ending of his manga  and they usually announced their last arc .
