I wouldn't say that was the best analogy. First of all, a lot of people actually really like the taste of food their allergic to, they just don't like the allergic reactions that come with it.
Second of all, people feel better when they can discuss their anger. In this case, how 'unprofessional' the reviewers are by filling their videos with their own shipping agenda rather than actually talking about the chapter.
Lastly, maybe some people don't realise that the reviewer they're watching hates the pairing they like.
Now I personally find it odd how people expect Youtube reviewers to be professional or unbiased. These people are just fans with video cameras. They don't have a BA or any journalistic background, ofcourse they will say whatever they want.
I was sleepy and with an annoying headache last night. That's why I probably didn't make the comparison correctly. However, when you think about it...
-People do like to see reviews (food), but what they usually get angry with are the comments (reaction) that are usually made in said videos.
-Now, discussing our opinion of reviewers is not bad. What I do find difficult to handle is when certain comments are brought to bash either other fanbases or other characters, This has been happening frequently and most of the time, it brings two consequences:
1-Overall negative comments
2-Warning posts from the mods
I understand that sometimes we are not pleased with some comments, and we find it unfair that our characters/our fanbase is periodically targeted. However, why retaliate in the same way? I mean, if we consider ourselves the kindest and most level-headed fanbase, why not give the example instead of resorting to the same bad tactics other people use?
-As for your third comment, I can't deny that could be a possibility, but considering many people mention the same names over and over again (Saw7, VJ, etc.), that doesn't happen in a common basis.
Finally, your final comment is something I definitely agree on and which I believe would make our reaction to these reviewers less... serious (I can't find a better word at the moment; is just that some points they share might probably be biased and wrong).
Anyway, apologies for not expressing myself correctly. My main concern is that people are getting frustrated and that can retaliate in the tone of their responses.
Look, I agree with what you're saying but what matters most is Kishi's own perspective of the characters and their actions. If it were left to me I would have had not just Sasuke prosecuted but Gaara, Baki, and Konan as well. Two of those people conspired to bring about mass destruction on one or more nations and they are all guilty of at least one murder. People are going to disagree with the moral of Kishi's story but we have to accept that this is the course of action that he has chosen for the manga.
Whatever eventual actions Sasuke takes the rookies will undoubtedly oppose him at every moment which I believe they should do as Sasuke's heart remains apathetic and harsh as it did hundreds of chapters ago. He does not value the opinions of the people whom he should be attempting to sway if he desires the Hokage position. Even if Sasuke had committed no crimes and was not being pursued by the military of any nations I still believe that he should not return to Konoha since his lack of concern for its people or the village's well being confirms that he is only a liability in their ranks.
Apart from the fact that I agree with this point (well said btw), this is probably what mark the difference between characters that were villains in the past, mostly when we compare Gaara with Sasuke. The fact that he protected his whole village and is now fighting to protect a friend and to protect the world is what makes Gaara's redemption one to like (at least in my opinion). Sasuke, on the other hand, has not shown concern for the thoughts of the ones who were once his friends; and I believe this is related to Itachi's words. Maybe that's why I'm actually looking forward to the Naurto vs Sasuke battle.
