You still feel yourself superior, by telling yourself you don't stoop to their level. Even "kindness" among "rudeness" is s superior act. The true difference is not whether or not you are superior, but rather whether you think you do it relative to what what you are. So if you think youre superior, you aren't, if not, then you are. Which completely bypasses the "think therefore I am" motto.
Think too deeply? Yeah I suppose so, but giving that this line of deep thinking has no negative effects on me, I feel it is rather more of a "fun" thinking. Like going into the deep end of the pool knowing full well you can swim.
Unlike the deep thinking that is the forum which at times causes mass hysteria.
However, this is not something that we do. We don't wander in our minds saying "we didn't resort to their level", but rather, "If that approach doesn't bring results, then why use it?". Is pretty much like gamers who don't use cheat codes. They want to play the game fair and square, but this doesn't mean that they are superior. Let's just say that fair and square is one technique and cheating is another. One doesn't necessarily is superior than the other. Cheat codes can bring results in some games and in other don't, but it is not as appealing to gamers as playing fair and square.
It can be complicated when, no matter how I think or what I say, you will still believe that i will be feeling superior when in fact, I do not. Unless you approach this from another aspect (considering these two approaches as different rather than one being superior than the other), this argument will not really end. Don't think of this as:
Debate without bashing: A+
Debate with bashing: A-
Rather, think of it this way:
Debate without bashing: Approach "X"
Debate with bashing: Approach "Z"
Where each approach will have different impact and results.
If you think of it this way, you will see now why no people need to feel superior or inferior when using whatever tactics they wish to use. What makes the difference is that one approach has a result that is appealing to more people than the other, so it is obvious that people will prefer one method over the other.
