My sister watched it the reasons she gave why she liked it was Ryu wasn't completely CGI, and they changed that blond fan girls personality.

Edge of Tomorrow doesn't count. I can't say it's that bad, but I didn't like it. If you expect it to faithful to the series, you will hate it. If you expect just a movie, it's subpar. It's like Final Destination has been reincarnated to a book. If you want more, I can explain further.I haven't seen it yet, but THAT bad?

NB keikaku failed.
How does the movie end?
As for the quality, it got not good but better in the last half. I just couldn't handle the scenes in the beginning..like what happened in the classroom, or the class first kill(Light started killing the worst monsters on earth not school bullies!). I wanted to rate it a 2/10 but it ended up around 4 or 5. When L came along, he was really the star of the movie. Light's actor could not act neither could his girlfriend.

How does the movie end?
Spoiler
Pretty much. It was done like it wants to be "make your ending" kind. Seriously? That concept could have been neat if the lashing out didn't happen constant and soon...

What makes this sad is that Death Note is perhaps the easiest anime to make live action and they still kittened it up
Let's look forward to FMA, I think it'll turn out much like the Kenshin films. Good enjoyable movies with a formidable script and bad wigs.
