one of my coworkers actually defended that hokage special/oneshot and thinks its supposed to be funny and believes everything kishimoto says in interviews and doesn't think the last naruto the movie is bad and sees nothing wrong with the ending. I was facepalming hard in my head and avoided talking to him about naruto the rest of the day....

Its still number two in gross profit, even you don't like Naruto, its still have a lot of fans. If you don't satisfy with canon there are ton of NS AU anyway.
