Thats great! I agree it's sort of similar to Life is Strange, but have you ever seen Erased? To me it's a lot more similar.

i think it has similarities to all time travel series, even the movie "the girl who leapt through time"

 

it's somewhat meant to be a parody of the current otaku culture (sort of "parody", what with all the gamer/otaku lingo (NPC, Hero - referring to himself lol, "where's the beautiful girl who summoned me???", Heroine) because the creator of this series say he dislike mainstream OP heroes and stuff like that...)

Going with crack/crazy theory here.   Subaru should learn how to summon things from other places (like his own world) with magic. He can then summon nukes and blackmail/nukes the kitten out of everything!   Problem solved!

don't kill me, but i thought this ep was a bore. the hype for this episode disappointed me.. (all those metro advertisements saying longer ep, author saying they spent the most budget for this ep..)

 

ep 8 (cliff leapt) has almost the same subplot, subaru realizing his shortcomings, and building up his determination to solve the crisis, and it's much more impactful

at least they had a h2h talk. rem rejected his proposal of a lifetime lol.

I had tried the first couple eps. of this when it first came out. I wasn't very impressed but after putting it on hold for a while I thought to give it another chance. Surprisingly better than expected.

It wasn't the most exciting episode but I thought it was still great, especially for just two people talking almost the entire time. Anyway, I can't wait for the next episode. Let's see how Subaru plans on fixing everything.

I gotta admit, at times I wondered if Subaru's feelings for Emilia was comic relief or not but after rejecting Rem and this episode, I don't think there is any denying it. I'm Looking forward to season 2. Its one of the better animes I've seen in a while.

mine would be theater D at the end of ep 14. the way he finally see the dead bodies lying on the ground, or the way the broken subaru staggered to a friend's corpse, it was so impactful and apocalyptic
