Progression

He's a masochistic warmongerer with an insatiable lust for battle and carnage. That basically describes Madara in this chapter. It's like with each passing chapter he's becoming more and more insane. Or he was simply caught in the moment of his newly rediscovered mortality and the feeling of pain to him must have been that amazing to him. If he could literally feel nothing beforehand then I can somewhat understand why he reacted the way he did this chapter. To feel any sensation or emotion, such as physical pain, would probably make someone pause to realise that they're "alive". That they can feel like any other human being rather than being a senseless zombie.

More conversation and tug-of-war between Tobi and Black Zetsu. After this chapter I feel completely alienated from any possible redeeming qualities of Black Zetsu's relationship with others. He's a figment of Madara's will, albeit an apparently crazed one. Well at least he's practical in understanding that he needs some leverage to dangle over Minato and Kakashi if he wants to survive this fight.This extraction of Gedo Mazo cements Tobi's death now. There was a small possible chance that he might live, but now he's only still alive thanks to Zetsu.

So there was a reason for Madara's head-on attack after all. He was exploiting Hashirama's healing abilities, knowing full well that he wouldn't be damaged in any way that he couldn't recover from. It's the same blunderous tactics that Tsunade relies on whenever she uses Sozo Saisei/Byakugou. That's another similarity between the two.

Possibly the most important development this chapter was at the ending. Madara used some unknown Rinnegan technique to disable the bijuu so he can try and recapture them. And now he's trying to remove Kurama and Gyuki from the final two jinchuuriki as well. This could actually be a very important turning point for Naruto if Madara were to somehow succeed. Kurama has been with Naruto since the very beginning of the manga. Preserving his life, influencing it, and even guiding it (since the recent chapters) and now the very real threat of him potentially losing that being is presented to him now. This should be just as much of an assessment of Kurama's will to remain as part of Naruto as it is a struggle for survival.

You can only find those paradoxes on Naruto.

I feel sorry for Lee, more on opponent that he cant win against and guess what it's the guy who he's going to fight.

He's always being placed into situations where he could kick everyone's ass except for one guy and it's this guy who he has to fight.

Gai... Huh, interesting. Yeah, it could be the eighth gate. I've seen a lot of people who want to see it. He should team up with Lee and help fight Madara.

I like Madara's crazed laugh... Them Uchiha. They all seem to have one. Have we seen Madara's before? I feel like we have but I don't remember. I think it was when Hashirama became Hokage and Madara was butthurt. I don't even know, too lazy to search.

Many people have been speculating if he would die at some point in the manga. Regardless, it won't carry as much weight as last year's cliffhanger which caught most people by surprise and stirred a large amount of controversy amongst the fans.

No, haha I don't think he's going to die. I think Kishi has a chance to leave us with a little surprise for the break. I'm glad that some think that it won't be huge as last year, because all that fiasco was unneeded. Honestly I don't think Sakura will appear, Kishi will use Sasuke to "stop" Madara.

Lol, that ain't happening . But wow , Naruto will die ! Finally ! Okay ,that's horrible for me to say ,but at least we will see some drama and of course he will be resurrected xD! Otherwise the manga ends .

I have no problem against that. I mean come on even if he dies, we all know he is coming back. The one I'm worried about is Bee.

Also if Naruto "dies" mostly likely we are going to see a NS moment maybe like the OVA.

Ok, finally the chapter was released.

 

I will admit, I didn't expect this route and well, I like it going this way. I like the fact Madara didn't go up there and pull a Cell to beat every single one alone as a person. This way felt more logical and more approval in my book. Ok, so as for the chapter, I thought this one got me thinking how this is going to play out and I like the fact it got me thinking, unlike the previous chapter. It seems like Madara's plan is in fact the moon eye plan after all and I like Kuruma is the one that knows that bad feeling of summoning since he got hit by it. Naruto once again proven to understand quick. Madara's psycho is back and man, I do like it, almost feels like Rinnengan is the root of madness since it's all about hungry for kill and grants God-like power. Really does feel like a villain that needs to be stopped with a kill.

 

Well, I got to admit, Black Zetsu talking that way to Obito is actually making me hope someone kill that thing because he's being a real kitten. He went from holding his cool and chill with the Akatsuki to telling him how pathetic he is. I always knew seeing him at the bridge stroked me as "This guy acts like a bigger boss tier." He's not a strong fighter, at least to my knowledge, but he sure acts like like a boss.

 

So now, the main questions are two: will all bijuus go inside and most importantly, will Naruto die?

 

Ok, I know people won't buy Naruto will die, but I think the real question is will he lose Kuruma. Now this chapter just got the Alliance showing up for one panel. Sasuke remains absent. Minato and Kakashi are close to ending the situation with Obito and Black Zetsu. The possibility is surprisingly a lot this time and that's a good thing for readers to discuss. So I can't really decide on what's going to happen exactly, but I'll throw few thoughts.

 

-If all bijuus get sucked in to Juubi and extracting Naruto, then well he's dead (maybe due to Kushina), Merry Christmas. That happened, well the tree will come back and hello, new world. Happy New Year.

 

-The Alliance had a panel, which could hint that they have, no, must show up and stop Madara before entering reign of terror 2 starring Madara. This is a way for all of them to fight that thing once more, as well as others to back up Bijuus, showing the wish of RS coming true. No longer seen as weapons, now comrades.

 

-Sasuke could very well tried to strike Madara because not only the world would end, but Naruto may die, which he wants to be the one to end him. Yay? Anyway, he has lucky shot to do so if he plays it safe, so this is now or never on his end.

 

-Same as above, though it could be replaced by anyone, mainly Hashirama, maybe Tobirama, and maybe Gokages.

 

These are some of the ideas that can very well happen in the next chapter and I do look forward to how Kishi would play it off here because this could be a major development and if Naruto loses Kuruma, well it will be interesting to see how he's going to maintain it. Will we finally get the confirmation if he can live after all, or he can live for a short while and then die? To me, it wasn't clear enough on Kushina's part because it feels like her life was getting closer to end and only goes rapidly due to her plan to seal Kuruma once more, or the fact she took the stab. Obito only said amazing that Uzumaki don't die from extraction right away. This perplexed me so if Naruto get caught, well time to find out. Here's to the final chapter of the year.

Wow didn't expect the chapter to come out so early, though I will say that it was a very good chapter. The only thing that worries me is how Kishi will end off the final chapter of the year next week. As far as I remember in 2011 it was when Naruto and Son Goku first met, and I don't even have to mention how last year's final chapter ended at this point.

Frankly, Bee always felt like left-over baggage that Kishi decided to keep around because of his personal fondness for the character and to deflect any potential blemishing of Sasuke's hands. It's one thing to be exonerated for murdering a handful of nameless (mostly) men and attempting to kidnap a jinchuuriki (which he failed to accomplish), but had he actually succeeded? Well it would be much more difficult to justify his redemption then since his actions would have actually contributed to the death of a nation's vital military asset and the fueling of a terrorist organization's war machine.

Do you mean the grass ninja? I thought they lived. Don't forget the villains no one is sad to see gone (Danzou, Deidara). But yeah, it's why Karin lives.
 

Even for Naruto, if Kurama was somehow extracted, there is no guarantee that he would survive. Remember that Kushina, while still alive, suffered a fatal blow. Whether she would have survived or not had she received immediate medical attention is unknown. Although for Naruto, he'll probaly find a way since he is the protagonist.

I'm hoping Minato and Kakashi realize that they should just kill both Black Zetsu and Obito and not stand there and watch the struggle or at least try to offer some justification for not acting. The Third made a similar mistake with Orochimaru. He should there and tell them horror of inaction here. Obito, in a half dead state uses Gedo Mazo, he's gonna die and I don't think anyone is kidding themselves on that. Are they holding out hope Obito somehow survives this when he was moments from death prior to Black Zetsu? Hoping for follow up next (I think there is a respectable chance of that) because I really have no clue what the hell they are doing right now.
