Actually, as much as I have loved it to be acid, is some sort of sticky material. We can see that in the next page.

Meh, anyway, as for the chapter, nothing interesting.

Not a very eventful chapter but I enjoyed seeing gaara and shukaku take center stage while Madara got smacked around like a rag doll, that made me smile even though things are going to get worse with the rinnegan back.

So he is able to take so much damage because of the senju thing in his chest but all I saw was the biiju playing Ping ball. LOL I wonder how much more powerful he will be and by the looks of things kishi is aiming  to make Naruto the jinchuriki for all the bijus.

We just watched a Kage and all the Bijuu's get Worf Effected by a guy who didn't even have the right eyes in his head to do what he was doing. Like...I just...what. I guess you can just pop eyes back in your head....whatever....

Oh, I think it's worse than that.

I'm kind of confused has Gedo Mazo works. When Nagato used it, as far as I can tell the bodies of the dead were still there and those were revived. I don't recall Nagato saying that it brings you back at a defined point. The appearance was at you were brought back moment of death as if they hadn't died at all. Edo Tensei was defined that way, but Kabuto pulled a rabbit out of his rear and Madara is special in this sense. And it's that "body" that is blasted with Gedo Mazo.

So, I'm more than a little lost. He gets an Edo body with new abilities and techniques and clearly he isn't revived by Mazo at the time of death. If he had been he'd be old man. So, it seems that the Edo body was made real, but he lost his eyes powers from it (did he lose any of the Senju stuff or is the stuff he took from the 1st and add on?) for some reason.

It makes no sense.

Even if you hand wave away the serious injuries that have caused significant amounts of blood loss and pain ('tis a flesh wound), he just performed eye surgery on himself (with one hand!) by putting the new eye on top of the old one, I guess. And doing it in no time at all (while everyone stood and watched).

It reminds me of the non-sensical nature of Izanami.

I'm not sure if this is worse than Tsunade being cut in half. The injury is less severe, but it makes even less sense.

Still, it's not half as offensive as some of the crappy characterizations in the war arc (looking at you Karin).

I think he could have been revived with all his previous super powers and no one would have blinked and Kishimoto would have saved himself the grief. A curious choice in my opinion.

I was nice to see Gaara getting some attention, but that was about the only upside to this chapter. I think it is absolutely ridiculous that nine bijuu can manage to do so little damage to one person, I know Madara is super overpowered and Uchiha and all, but come on Kishi, I thought these were supposed to be the most fearsome creatures in the Narutoverse, they seem pretty unimpressive to me.

Well, Bijuus has only physically attack, so I can't really argue much. I mean if Madara did take a head on Bijuus bombs, then I can see where you guys are coming from, but not here. The fact he used Susanoo, which remember supposed to be the powerful armor, and still got pummeled, it's not all that bad. It's not like Bijuus are saying, "WE USED EVERYTHING WE GOT! WE'RE DOOMED!" That's something DBZ would even let you know that they did everything they got and still nothing. So once again, bad timing to judge, but hey, who has patience now.

Guess I will say one thing, I have seen how with the wounded being evacuated, since it seems now the center stage of this fight is Naruto, Sasuke, Bee, Gaara with Shukaku, and the other 6 tailed beasts, its not over yet. Some people are saying Sakura and Tsunade for that matter won't have any role in this fight just due to the wounded being removed from the battlefield.

 

In all truth, the Shinboi stepped back cause well, there are 4 very powerful ninja with 7 very powerful tailed beasts, basically that same scale of destruction from the ten tails is still present on the battlefield but at this point they are lucky that they have 7 additional powerhouses standing on their side. This is a case when they know they need to step back, for reasons of not being caught up and needing recovery time, both can be assumed to just have the SA take a step back for the time being. The tailed beasts are getting screen time for a good reason too, kishi isnt going to have them resealed to restart the event, if anything just mind control will come onto them.

 

Also Madara just got his right rinnegan, from the one Obito never put in I'm assuming, Obito never had to change his right eye, he still has his first sharigan, he only had to replace his left sharigan after facing Konan and he used Madara's left rinnegan as his own. Madara put both his eyes in Nagato, used other sharigans until his death. Nagato preseved the rinnegan then Obito took both back, its safe to say that Obito ordered a white zetsu to take the other one back if he could tell Obito was using only one of his.

 

But the deal is, on the battlefield things are going to get bad, very very very bad for the allaince, hashirama is down, he cannot control many tailed beasts im assuming. Naruto, Bee, and Gaara can only do so much to them as well. The thing we are going to see in this fight is the rampage madara causes, the struggle of the heroes, then the turning point in which they finally get the right opening to kill madara to end the war.

 

In all of this however, as people are worried about others like Sakura, Tsunade, the other kage (not counting gaara) the K11, what could they do in this fight? Well the wounded being evacuated has a meaning that can go both ways:

 

1. Either kishi is cutting them out of this fight or 2. The wounded being removed for their safety could likewise entail he would still include them. Yes Sakura and Tsunade are medics first but if they are safe and perhaps Katsuyu could have been moved back to work for the others, then perhaps they will join in.

 

I only say this because yes like most of us, I want to see Sakura do more with her power, even just contributed in the fight against Madara, we know she can use her seal to a point like Tsunade. But hey, Madara just hacked with using a Sussano with no sharigan. So some rules are constantly rewritten in this universe for ability mechanics. Is Sakura sidelined permenantly? No, if she does have absolutely nothing this battle, she will have some role in any event around the naruto vs. sasuke fight for obvious team 7 reasons. I want to see more but, this volume is just starting, Madara is going to go more apekitten crazy than son goku could ever go.

 

I did have a theory though, the other big event so to say would be how are kakahsi and minato handling black zetsu? This fight there is a tug of war between Kakashi and Minato not wanting to kill Obito and Black zetsu knows he needs to get away but even then Minato (with only an arm) and Kakashi can still prevent him from gaining the rinnegan. So my theory? What if Sakura or tsunade is called to save obito? prevent him from dying? Shikamaru was saved by the efforts of naruto, sakura, and tsunade so perhaps its possible to offset the cost of a life for the rinne tensei? Just remember rules of jutsu are constantly rewritten in this universe or there is a special expection like a ten tails jinchurki doesnt die, they remain immobile, Obito is only dying due to the rinne tensei not the extraction of all tailed beasts.
