Given you usual "passion for NaruIno I thought other wise. And laughing does not mean that you always intended a joke does it? Besides it's hard to tell when someone is joking or whatever online, you know that.

Also, if everyone here follows the manga properly, then no one should take NaruIno as a possible canon couple right? I mean, come on... it's pretty much the equivalent to NH... but like ten times better and hotter lolololol

But anyways, this isn't the thread to talk about which pairings can be considered as possible canon ships or not... quite the opposite actually. Anyhoo, I've already given my answer.

I think if the manga ended without pairings then it would mean Kishi wasted precious panels to develop something pretty damn awesome. Although I've started to lose interest in the Naruto manga (lol wat, damn plot no jutsus), what keeps me going is seeing how he'll wrap up the issue with Sasuke (that's pretty much it), and then, the issue with Sakura (iknorite). Anywho, if the manga ended with no pairings, I wouldn't be mad or burn the manga or go gung ho and take me guns and ride to Japan to give Kishi an earful of my opinion, but I'd probably just be like "Wat. Wait so all that...was for nothing wat."

i have liked narusaku since the manga came out! (well around that time..)

so....i started when i was just a kid hoping narusaku would happen...now im a young adult still hoping for it!! >:U if it dont happen ima be very mad!!

So if the manga ended with no official couples.... I wouldn't be surprised at all. I've seen it a few times before so let's say I'm prepared for that kind of outcome. Of course, that doesn't mean I wouldn't feel bad or be disappointed for a while... I mean every shipper would be... but I'd live with it.

Honestly, no conclusion to any of the pairings would be preferable. Every pairing has something to like. Every pairing also has something to hate. It has nothing to do with the fact that there are "losers" when pairings are defined. It's just that I don't care. None of the pairings have really given me any true reason to support them, but virtually all of them have given reason to be irritated with them in one way or another. And often times, that irritation comes from the fans, even if not from the pairing itself.

Honestly, no conclusion to any of the pairings would be preferable. Every pairing has something to like. Every pairing also has something to hate. It has nothing to do with the fact that there are "losers" when pairings are defined. It's just that I don't care. None of the pairings have really given me any true reason to support them, but virtually all of them have given reason to be irritated with them in one way or another. And often times, that irritation comes from the fans, even if not from the pairing itself.

I kind of feel the same way, I really don't have a problem with most pairings (except for Sasusaku). It's just the fandoms that bug me. The Naruhina fans bug me because they worship Hinata to much. The Narusaku fans bug me because they keep claiming that everyone (including the anime studio) is against them and are bias against Narusaku, even though everything SEEMS to be going for us (both in anime and manga). Sasusaku fans bug me because they support that pairing for mostly shallow reasons, cute girl gets with handsome guy. Not every fan in their respective fandoms act like that, I'm mostly speaking about the random as the whole.*

But unlike you, I do have a preferred pairing, Narusaku of course. And the reason why I support that pairing is because I see the story going to that direction, and the author MADE me actually care if they get together. So I don't think he will end the series with no one getting together, he took his time building up Naruto and Sakura's relationship throughout his manga. If the series did end without any pairings, or ended with an other pairing for that matter, then what would have been point. What would have been the point of Naruto making the Promise of the Lifetime to Sakura, despite still having a crush on her? What would have been the point of Sai and Yamato's implication that Sakura may have stronger feelings for Naruto? What would have been the point of Sakura's confession, and Naruto's rejection of that confession? What have been the point of the author writing down that Sakura is gaining new feelings for Naruto in the third data book? What would have been the point of the parallels?

So no, I don't think it will end with no pairings. But all I can do is just speculate, and see if I'm right.

I just think people need to remember that these are not real people, they are fictional characters devised for a specific plot. You can dislike them for how they are designed. There are things I dislike about Naruto and Sakura as individuals and as a couple, as well, though they are the most logical pairing. But in the end, I remember that they are simply lines on paper, and there is no sense in getting too upset over these things. In terms of character, to me, Naruto is too good for all of them. Any one of them who is lucky enough to end up with him should consider herself blessed, because he is a saint to have tolerated as much as he has in his life, and as much abuse as he has received from nearly everyone in the village.

Please, Kishi: NOT an open ending. I'll just keep wondering what really happened. I've had shows I was a great fan of and every week I wondered what would happen next (desperate housewives, smallville, avatar etc). But when the book was closed, I was over it, and just watched my fav episodes once in a while.

i remember when digimon tamers(digimon season 3) ended and it was like an opened ending since you never know what happened in between the series and the runaway locomon movie(and some people don't count the movie even though it is the official ending). and i hated that, i wanted to know what would happen to them and how their lives would turn out, i wanted them to end it like season 2. instead they keep making new seasons with new characters and it's like the previous ones are forgotten. sure in the latest season they had a crossover of all the seasons but it's only their past selfs,including the original tai. season 3 tamers was the best one in my opinion, they even made the digimon online games based on it.
