Agree on all points. And especially the thought of a part 3. Naruto is a powerhouse, but he has not had a transformation to adulthood yet. And it would be nice to see him mature, then take on the battles that will define his role as an adult. Like a trial by fire. Not to receive maturity and a wardrobe change as a result of his defining battle with Sasuke.

Me too I don't want it to end YET cool.gif Anyways as much As I want this fight to last I also want it to wrap up so we can move on to other things in the story biggrin.gif

Good Chapter, not great, but good.
I don't understand the sudden anxiety over others knowing Hiraishin. To be honest, it kind of annoys me how
everyone was asking for Hiraishin to be produced and for someone to teach Naruto. That's exactly what we just got!
And Kishimoto didn't lower the significance of the jutsus because it requires three elite body guard ninjas that worked
directly under Minato to work the jutsu. If it had just been one random guy (outside Jaraiya), no one would be
very pleased about that. Kishimoto chose the correct route in finally revealing the Hiraishin again.

In my case, I am very, very excited about the sudden re-revealing of Hiraishin. I just can't wait for Naruto to start
kicking butt with it. Based on Madara's words, I think the split body theory between Madara and Tobi is correct.
Which also mean, Madara probably also has some ridiculously haxed space/time teleportation ninjutsu like Tobi.
So they're going to need a teleportation expert to defeat him.....Naruto.

Oonoki dying is pretty much a given, Tsunade's is better than 50%, Ei maybe 50%. Gaara no, and from the wording hints with Mei, I'd say she has a very good chance of surviving too, there's a slim chance though, but I'm getting a vibe that she'll be alive.

She has to survive so we can see the GaaraMei pairing. (Crack, or political, take your pick.) Unless we get the KakashiMei political pairing instead. (If Tsunade dies, he's the next Kage.)

Genma made me chuckle...
The upcoming fight looks like it'll be badass.
This also pretty much confirms that Madara and Tobi have some kind of mental link, considering Madara knew about the Moons Eye plan.

Madara didn't know anything about Naruto having the nine tails.. and he didn't know anyone there that Tobi had already seen, makes me wonder if Madara had this planned out for when he died.

Okay so the three were part of the Fourth Hokage's personal Guards, then maybe one of them should have helped in his training at some point....pass on what this father taught them. Amzing how all of a sudden the thunder God Technique is not as allusive as before, there appears to be four people who know how to use it all of a sudden.

I don't take this as a bad thing. I actually think it's a good thing because it means they have record of the technique and Naruto will learn it. It seems that no jutsu is ever unlearnable, but not everyone can use it effectively. I mean, even they said they can't do it by themselves, they have to combine themselves to effectively use it.

I bet Naruto will be able to use it as effectively as Minato can. Which I think makes all the difference.

As for why A has his left hand back: after all the time we seen people get their limbs ripped off and have them grown back the next chapter over, I don't really have a problem with this. Tobi has done it what....three times now?

Agreed.

Anyhow, you bring up a good point. If Tobi is a weird clone or split soul of Madara, then it would certainly explain his regenerative abilities or rather re-attaching of missing limbs.

Great chapter. Like some people have been predicting, I'm getting a feeling at least one of the Kage is gonna die before this war's over. It could be Tsunade, but I feel like Kishi could have killed her off during the Pein attack if that was his intention. Of course, that arc was a while ago, so maybe he's changed his mind since then. I don't see Ei or Mei (ha ha, rhyming names) as being likely to get killed off, and I think Gaara's too important, so my bet's on Oonoki. But we'll see.

The re-mention of Flying Thunder God Technique was cool, but I'm a little confused. Was the jutsu the Third Raikage used the FTG technique, or was that just him applying Kumo's Teleportation Technique on himself? It sort of seems like an advanced version of FTG, since it doesn't require seals. It seems to me like a lot of these jutsu are connected somehow. It's why I sort of think it's pointless to argue Jutsu Logisitics, like some people were doing last chapter.

I also liked that those three Konoha nin turned out to be Minato's elite guards, but does anyone know who that guy with the bandana is? We've seen Raido and Genma a few times, but that other guy seemed way too random to be able to use FTG. Now under "Known FTG users", we have: Minato Namikaze, Genma Shiranui, Raido Namiashi, and....some guy.
On a sort side note, I'm glad to see Genma again. I thought he was cool when I first started on the anime way back when, before he disappeared into sixth/seventh-tier character status. Though I think I just liked him cuz he was voiced by Johnny in the English dub. tongue.gif

Heck yes! I like that pairing. Chojuro was awesome in this chapter, and I liked how Mei was impressed with his change in character. Though I wonder what the age difference between the two is. Mei seems like she's in her thirties, and Chojuro seems like he's still a teen. Oh well. *turns blind eye*

I know. So? It's not like Chojuro's age has been revealed anyway. For all we know, he could already be 25 or 26 and still looks like a kid.

It's still a fairly neat pairing, even if it's crack.

Speaking of ages and Genma, I was kind of surprised to learn that he was in an elite guard for Minato. He's never struck me as being a great deal older than Naruto. Somewhere between Naruto and Kakashi. Didn't they fight with Asuma in the immortals arc? (I'm pretty sure Raido did....) I got the impression that they were younger, not Asuma's contemporaries or maybe older.

Anyway, to have enough experience to be Minato's elite guard, these dudes must be older than they appear. Kishimoto does a pretty good job of illustrating age (beards, scars, etc.) but these guys look fairly young. Mid to late twenties if I had to guess. Which I obviously did...and was wrong! Anybody else surprised? I need to go check the narutopedia for his age.

And MeiXChou.... meeowww! pimp.png I wouldn't say that's crack...I'm calling it canon! Although I don't know that a 30s girl to a late teens/early 20s boy counts as a cougar sighting.... I think you'd need to slap at least another decade on her for it to be in cougar territory. Sexually assertive, yes; cougar, eh not so much. Hey maybe Karin is related to her!? laugh.gif

I can't sleep so I came back on here.

They used the Heavenly transfer Technique

It is similar to the Hiraishin in that it teleports people and things, but instead of bending time and space it sends the person using light...literally. Unlike the Hiraishin however, this is not so good with living people as it causes massive damage to the living thing being transported. You either have to have invulnerable skin or have an incredible healing ability like Tsunade's.

I think people need to understand that the difference between them all is how you move. Either by increasing your speed exponentially, to manipulating the very fabric of space-time

Take a look at it this way. Take a piece of paper. Take a pencil and draw a line starting from one side to the other. That time it takes to reach the other end is the travel time. (Even if you move at the speed of light) Space-time is taking the same piece of paper and instead of drawing a line, you fold the paper in half thus connecting to the two points instantly. That's the best way to describe it.

Ha ha, I guess we think alike. wink.gif I checked out their Narutopedia pages before I made my post. I like Naruto, but not nearly enough to be able recall Raido and Genma's last names, like I used in my previous post. Heck, I didn't even remember Raido's first name. laugh.gif

Anyways, according to Narutopedia, Genma is the same age as Kakashi (29-30), and Raido is 35. I'm not sure if that's ever been confirmed in extra-canonical material (databooks, interviews, etc.), so maybe ciardha can confirm that. She's pretty good with character ages. I had a hard time telling with Raido because of that weird scar, but I definitely thought Genma was younger, like around Iruka's age. I guess if their Narutopedia pages are true, Genma would be 14/15 and Raido would be 20 when Minato was Hokage, so they'd both be awfully young to be Hokage bodyguards. I'm not sure how old Minato was when he became Hokage, but maybe he knew Raido or the bandana guy from the academy. I seem to read a lot of fan-fiction where Hokage Naruto has members of the K-11 in his bodyguard team, so maybe the same thing happened in canon with Minato.

Yeah, I don't think it's really crack either. Like Shadow said, his age has never really been stated, so it's not necessarily pedophilia (or ephebophila, depending on how old he is). He could just be shrimpy for his age.

Besides, I have seen way weirder pairings before. In the Golden Sun shipping fandom, I read about a crack ship in which the main character was shipped with the roof of his own house. And no, that's not a typo. laugh.gif

Thanks for clarifying that, that makes more sense. So basically Mabui's jutsu moves people at high-speed, while the FTG Jutsu is a form of summoning? I guess they're both teleportation (depending on how you define teleportation, I guess), but the concept is definitely way different.

Though who knows? The way Kishi writes, it might turn out that both jutsu were descended from an even greater teleportation jutsu that Naruto will learn before the end, LOL.

Yeah, apparently he's long had a reputation as having a ready snarky comment at the drop of a hat from what Shikaku said. I also recognized Genma and Raido as two of the three but the third one doesn't look familiar from what I could see. Genma was 17 (Narutopedia has his age wrong- as per the second databook Genma was 30 when Kakashi was 27, and thus was 33 at the start of part 2) and Raido was 19 when Minato died. (Kakashi was 14) I wonder when Minato trained them to use Hirashin?

As for Choujiro, his age hasn't been given explicitly, but enough clues have been given that he's pretty young- likely even younger than Naruto, but probably not by a whole lot. My guess is he's about 14 going on 15- right in between Konohamaru's and Naruto's ages. He went through the Academy after the reform, thus Aoi's grousing about how wimpy he thought Choujiro was. Choujiro only become a ninja since the post Madara controlling the 4th Mizukage era. We don't know exactly when Yagura was killed (possibly by Terumi Mei), but there's enough of a clue that it has only been a few years.
