I thought Oyaji was more like Pop's instead of tou-chan. Oyaji is a very slang word but it's mostly used by teenagers in Japan 16 & up, right? besides, we call our dad pop's 'cause we like to use slang words. same with Oyaji, I think.

Isn't "oyaji" kind of the same as when Americans call their dad "old man"? It's sort of affectionate, but also meant to show an almost begrudging respect, I think?

*shrug* I'm only going off of one semester of Japanese so I could totally be wrong.

Yeah, that tone, sort of vaguely insulting/affectionate. You did good picking up on that after just one semester of studying Japanese. smile.gif

Eeeeeep, sorry guys! When I mentioned the semester of Japanese, I forgot to mention that it was during my first year of junior college--I'm not taking it anymore. Sorry! ^^;; Thanks for the encouragement though... <3

As for the official version of 474, do you mean the version printed in Shounen Jump, or are you waiting for it to be released in the manga? 'Cause I could scan the SJ pages if you want *shrug*

Sure sure. If the 474 discussion thread is still open, I'll post them there. May take a little time--17 pages to scan and upload--but I'll try to get them quickly.

Yeah, that's why I thought if you translated that to American english, it would mean pops. Doesn't you guys use pops in the same tone as "Oyaji". If Oyaji was translated literally it would mean old man.

Erm, one question, since 169 seemed to be leaked, this mean there will be no new episode this week?

Yeah, since it was leaked (if you already watched it), there won't be a new episode to watch this week. We'll just have to wait for next week's filler special.

To me, it will be more then one long week because of the filler episode special ( I really don't want to see fangirl Sakura again but with Sasuke being here, I guess that it will be inevitable dry.gif ). OH well, at least we have the new chapters to help ease the pain happy.gif

Didn't think about it that way.

It is pretty crappy that Hinata gets boatloads of filler, and NaruSaku fans have to suffer through another round of fangirl Sakura before her big scene. Ug.

Will have to sustain myself on Mushi-Shi till this is over.

Meh? Yuck, they have to ruin everything! If I see her being fangirl-ish i'm gonna go hunt them down... It'll just be saying to the Sakura haters "Hey, I remember why I hate her!" then they make more pictures of her being fat >.< meanies!

I don't want to see fan girl Sakura again my guess is that the animators want the fans to think that she still loves Sasuke when the episode of Sai telling her that Naruto loves her arrives. I don't know maybe it's all part of a conspiracy.

I don't mind if they do that because they want to 'revive' the memory of Sakura 'loving' Sasuke because that the best they can do regarding SS without ruining the manga. The thing that's bugging me is that Sakura will be seen as the weak little puppy worshiping the Uchiha's feet... in other word, will probably be totally useless and THAT MAKE ME COMPLETELY MAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
