Argentina deserved it. Why would you keep Agüero and Dybala out of the game?

Doesn't this make the third world cup in a row the winners of the previous tournement got knocked out in the group stages? Iataly in 2010, Spain in 2014 and now Germany. Unless I'm remembering wrong here.
Yup. I've thought the same thing. I've said to myself before the tournament started that Germany wouldn't get knocked out in the group stages, but it seems a karma-like thing was created since the last 3 world cups.

I am in a bit of a shocked state at the moment, we have seen England in Penalty shootouts before but this is the first time we have ever won one. I am sure like me, most of England had already decided we were coming back home.

Both teams were pretty bad today but the wost man on the field today, was the man with the whistle.

I don't think the Referee was that bad, He really got one decision completely wrong and that was Columbia should have had a player sent off, but that was down to VAR making the decision rather than him. Columbia had a game plan, and it made the Referee's job more difficult than it should have been. England started well and were clearly the better team in the first half, however Columbia on the other hand hand were trying to intimidate England getting into unnecessary arguments, and even headbutting Henderson when the Referee wasn't looking, even at half time their assistant manager shoulder barged into Sterling to get a reaction out of him.
Their plan worked to a level, some players did get riled up and made mistakes and committed fouls they shouldn't have. Other players got smart and played them at their own game, getting them to commit fouls. Columbia didn't come to play football.
I found it hilarious when Columbia's manager accuse England of cheating when it was there were scenes of them, getting into players faces, headbutting, and scuffing up the penalty spot before Kane took the penalty. Even more hilarious was when one of the the biggest cheats in world football, Maradona accuses anyone else, the guy who cheated England with his hand of God, and took drugs to enhance his performance on the pitch.

Turning out to be one of the best World Cups in a long time, France are the only team most people expected to be still in the tournament before it started, but here we have, two teams who have never won the World Cup, and England who won the tournament 52 years ago. So there is a 50% chance we'll see a team that's never lifted the trophy win the world cup.
As controversial the decision to have Russia host the cup, and fears of violence against foreign fans, it's been run remarkably well.
