About to head for Day Two of VBS, or Vacation Bible School, for those who don't know, at my church. I signed up to be a teachers assistant last week, wishing to get a 5th or 6th grade group (with mostly boys, as a bonus, since I love hanging out with boys that age), but alas, I got a 1st grade group. Yes, at first I was disappointed, but then yesterday happened.
This little girl (who was OBSESSED with Zhu Zhu Pets, might I add) named Mia kept clinging on to me. I just thought that she'd taken a liking to me. Then she told me that her parents were divorced and she wished they would get married again. I told I'm sorry and that maybe they will. She then told me that she didn't think so, because they're always mad at each other and they cuss each other out a lot. She wished that they would stop.
If you hear a crack, that would be my heart breaking.
At the end, when it was time for parents to pick up their children, I saw a teenage girl I assumed was her older sister picking her up. I walked to them and asked them to come back tomorrow. Looking at her teenage sister again, I realized that she wasn't her sister. She was her MOM.
Right then, I decided to give Mia the best week of her life. I think she deserves one.
Yeah, this is brief, but I gotsta goooo.

Song of the Day: I'm Not Forgotten....I don't remember who it was by, but it was a VBS song I took a liking to.

Geez, I'm starting to update this thing less and less, eh? So sorry. Anyway, not much happening today, except meeting up with my small group and maybe going to the library....really, nothing interesting is happening. I just wanted to update this thing.
I'm terrible at bloggity-blogging

Day two of week two of band camp. Just thought I'd let you know how things are going so far.
All the first week, it was just me, my fellow freshman, band officers, the drum majors, and a few upperclassmen. Day one I met my band director, Mr. Soukup, my section leader, Hannah, and the drum major, Adrian. There're all pretty nice, except when we're out on the field, Mr. Soukup is HARSH. But understandably. I got up in the morning at 7, went to band camp at 8:30 AM, and came home at 12 PM. OK. Four hours in all.
Now, in the second week. Everyone in the band is here this week. I get up at 6:45 AM, go to band camp at 8 AM, eat lunch at 12 PM- 1:30 PM, go back until 4:30 PM, have dinner until 6 PM, and go back until 8 PM, and go home for the day. Twelve hours in all. Whew!
On the bright side, today, we came home early, and I'm coming back at 3:30 PM to go on a trip with the rest of the band to see some famous drumline and brass band perform. We're not coming back until 12 AM, so band camp doesn't start tomorrow until 1:30. I get to sleep in!
If you're wondering, the halftime show we're learning is "La Nouba/ Cirque De Soleil". I'm really having a great time.

Found a really cute AMV for Tamaki x Haruhi (Ouran High School Host Club). I'm not a fan of Grease, but this song is so friggin catchy!

FIRST DAY OF HIGH SCHOOL THERE I WAS BABY.....it actually wasn't that bad. I took as much advice as I could from the "Tips for the New Freshmen" thread I created in Fun Cafe, and ended up thoroughly enjoying myself. AND THERE WERE VENDING MACHINES. I DIDN'T HAVE THOSE IN JUNIOR HIGH.
Also, band practice didn't waste no time going back outside, but this time we had to learn drills Drills. I shall hate them forever....No, I'm kidding! It was fun!
So, guys, thanks for the advice.
