cool, besides, its been three years since I have seen any FMA anyway lol(at least the first dozen) so i will be able to catch the episodes on phoanime like hmm next Monday. Now I have a series to follow since Gundam is over and Rideback is going to come to a close soon.

Not so much filler. It was full of character introductions and the entire Issac plotline foreshadows the conspiracy behind the Fuhrer. (Haven't read FMA but that's what my friend told me!)
Also:
Roy = Lockon
Al = Nena (and voiced by THE RIE! does this mean Al will be tsundere?)
Envy = Kati
Looks like Bones took the majority of the Gundam 00 cast! Ironically the director of 00 was the one who did the original FMA.

I'm sorry... Miki Shinichirou just does not suit Roy Mustang at all... Lockon != Mustang... it just doesn't sound right.

I love the OP. Even the first anime had good ones and the trend continues with this new one. Cant wait for the full version!

I really liked the episode but im rather disappointed with the plot. The episode completely contradicted the previous series and is seems as if it's a total remake of the first series. Can anyone inlighten me about this? Because if thats the case, this series, to me, would end up being disappointing.

What?
The first series wasn't faithful to the manga at all. Read the manga before you start making points about how this one will disappoint.
Not trying to be rude, but the first series completely butchered the series. This one might restore some hope for hardcore fans.
This episode is a complete reboot of the series, staying faithful to the manga this time. I found it awesome.

I never got around to the manga. If this series is a remake to follow the manga, then i guess it wouldn't be that bad. It's just a bit weird to see things all diffrent from the first series, but i guess thats the same reaction people had for the series compaired to the manga. I guess i should read the manga then.

I hope this series is better than the first cause I read the manga first and I really liked it. Than I went to go see the anime and I was like...wait..that's not what happened!!!! It was just really weird for me.
