Yeah, I hear that, Tricksie. Honestly, I still see Sarada as Sasuke and Karin's kid, given how she looks so much like Karin, and DNA tests don't lie, and how Karin seemed to be hesitating to easily cover up for her. But then again, I don't give a damn about the series as it is now since it's been made into a mess and continues to be one to justify the stupidity that is the ending.
Yeah, I know. Me too. The new series holds zero appeal. Sure, it was interesting in the beginning. But now it's just so far away from what the original story was. I'm curious to see how Boruto turns into the tattooed, jaded adult we got a sneak peak of, but that's it.
But back to Karin, another sticking point in her development is that she is said to be an Uzumaki. So what's the point of telling that (or hinting at it) if nothing comes of it?! That's a very significant character facet, since there are so few left. But Sasuke just happens to connect up with someone from that clan, of the same age as Naruto?!? And then it just goes nowhere?
If she were just a random girl from a random forgettable clan, then it wouldn't matter. She would just fade away like all the other fodder girls. But she alone is given a backstory that connects her to the main hero. Why?
That has always bothered me, and seeing "The True End" chapter with the parallel images, it just feels like NS and SK were meant to be the end pairings. Because theoretically Sasuke would connect to the Uzumaki through Karin, thus Naruto and Sasuke would be 'related.' And even though that's a stupidly trite ending, it's what feels like is going to happen wtih Bolt and Salad anyway.
So why make Karin an Uzumaki if SK wasn't supposed to happen?
And if Sasuke and Naruto weren't supposed to end up related, then why make them the reincarnation of the two brothers?
