This may have nothing to do with the child, but I suspect They could have the by the time the child is born both of his/her parents will be Jounin.

If not, Naruto would be Hokage and Sakura would be married to him at the time.

Both Hokages would have had wives and children

4th hokage Mianto and Kushina
Child of fourth Naruto Uzumaki

6th Hokage Naruto and Sakura
Child of sixth unknown

I like the idea of Naruto and Sakura having twins. Though when you say small herd, what exactly would the exact numerical amount of children be in the so-called "small herd" of offspring?

That first scenario is see more happening when they (Naruto and offspring) would like to go eat ramen. But for baby's I don't think Sakura would barter about how many... (not sure if I get my point through, though).

For some reason I think Naruto isn't even going to try to control himself

That's what I call persuasion because they obviously in your scenario do it when they get dejected.

Well, no. In my head they were doing it when they were being nice/thoughtful/playful (like bringing home an enormous card they made at school that's completely filled up with I LOVE MUMMY AND DADDY EVEN BIGGER THAN THIS MUCH, or when Sakura gets upset and they all rush over to give her cuddles)... you know, the moments that make a mother's heart melt with mushy pride and forget they're little heathens most of the time :3

Was thinking about last weeks chapter and how yet again Kishimoto emphasized Naruto's generation are adults now, and even made blatant references to them getting married and having kids of their own. He uses Chouji but I'm feeling more strongly than ever he's laying the groundwork for Naruto and Sakura getting together and having a baby pretty soon- Chouji even says something about "not everyone gets married at a young age"- meaning he and Ino won't right away(he has to call up the courage to ask her out to start with!)- but someone will of that generation, and Naruto and Sakura are the most likely choice. I think Sakura will have her heroic moment in this arc, then soon after she and Naruto will get together. I have a strong feeling that Sakura will either be pregnant or have a newborn when Naruto and Sasuke have that big last battle- paralleling a bit to Minato and Kushina the night Naruto was born.

Wow I didn't think about the last chapter that way! Great catch and analyzation there! I totally agree. And as for the way you predicted Naruto and Sakura may get together, I seriously don't doubt that either. I have a HUGE feeling, I'm like 99.9% sure, that they'll finally have their climactic moment together during or after this war and they'll be official <3 As for the newborn baby when Naruto and Sasuke have that final battle! I'm unsure of that one! That'd take a lot of time skipping or something perhaps... But it's not a bad scenario either! Either way, any NaruSaku finally getting to love eachother without any insecurities or doubt finally will be the best. Those two deserve the best.

And I can really see their child looking a lot like Kushina. Red hair, cute face, green eyes:] NaruSaku child is definitely the CUTEST child.

But yeah, good catch ciardha, I can see that Kishimoto is somewhat laying down the ground basis for a future marriage and/or child! It makes PLENTY of sense that he'd be preparing the reader for such thoughts! And of course, Naruto and Sakura are the most likely choice as you have said :] Thanks, really. I love it when people catch these things that lean towards NaruSaku, really boosts up my confidence in the pair :]

Different world/time, however you see it. I mean, some might get married young because they wanted to be official for times when separated and have something nice to go home to (same thing as my Dad and his first wife when he was a Marine) also such a high possiblitity of death they'd wanna hurry up and.. Procreate? XD
