I'm not going to lie, before it was brought to America and was only subbed, I saw an AMV with the SasuNaru kiss. So of course I was like "what's this, what's this, I can't believe my eyeees". Part 1 wise I thought the girl characters were alright, but the SasuNaru bond was what kept me interested, but then I stopped watching because of all of the end fillers. I started reading the manga in shippuden because a guy I was dating (although he was a NaruHina fan) told me Sakura was more awesome and that I could catch up if i read the chapters. So Shippuden introduced me to reading manga again as a whole.

I think that I heard of Naruto for first time in 2000 or 2001. I read a short review or mention as leafing through a manga/anime magazine. I think that I laughed when I read the journalist stating that series might be the next Dragon Ball.
For the next years I found and read more articles about the series. My curiosity grew, and I started to wonder if I should check it, but my interest was not high enough to get into it.
In 2004-2005 -right when Part II was beginning- my best friend was perusing books in a comic-book store and he talking with the owner. He mentioned that he did not know what buying since he disliked most of the then-current stuff. The shop-keeper suggested my friend buying Naruto and asked him what kind of series he liked. My friend answered that he liked 70s, 80s and 90s classic mangas (like Saint Seiya, Ronin Warriors, Fist of North Star, the early Dragon Ball or Rurouni Kenshin) and he was looking for something that felt similar. The shop-keeper told him: "Buy Naruto".
My friend purchased the first volume. He read it twice in one single day. The next day he returned to the shop and bought the next volume. He loved the Wave Country Arc, and he started to follow the series. Of course he talked me about it and he lent me their volumes.
And that was what finally got me into Naruto. Eventually I started buying my own copies (starting with volume 26, 27 or 28. I do not remember well).
Later... I think that I was visiting Desaix's FF.Net profile in hopes of seeing his Kimagure Orange Road story updated -or one of his Ranma stories- and I saw that he had written a Naruto fic (Training for the Job) and I saw a link to his webpage. Or maybe I found the webpage link as I was looking for RanmaxAkane stuff? I forgot. Anyway I visitied his site and I found a link to a NaruxSaku forum... and the rest is story (Cliched sentence, but proper).
Do you want to take over the world, huh? Well, you'll have to go through us first!

Local network airing it. I thought Naruto was a cat and never really had the interest of watching it. Until my HighSchool mates bought it up in class and about 1/3 in our class just had to compete with each other on who drew them better. Which had me dragged into the Naruto realm. I watched and drew Naruto just to fit in but found myself liking the series as I watched more of it

Then in the summer of 2008, I decided I needed a new game for my PSP, so I got Naruto Ultimate Ninja Heroes 2 The Phantom Fortress. And it all went uphill from there.

I watched this Youtuber named Etho and his Minecraft skin was Kakashi and I didn't know who that was at the time so I starting drawing Ethos Character and calling it Etho. I went to schoola and a kid said, "Heeey! Kakashi!" I had a puzzled look and they said, "From Naruto"
I decided to check it out and I got addicted. ^_^
