So what? There are alot of caps from the manga, I dont think they purposley put her there, there are many characters from the manga there in tiny pictures in the background, that doesnt matter.

Plus theres another series of official 2014 calenders, one with tsunade and sakura, one with gai and lee, another one for sasuke and kakashi, another one for naruto and jiraya. Theres shikamaru and asuma the 4th hokage, itachi and I think im forgetting more..but theres no hinata

Im pretty sure they might make one for sakura alone like gaara and kakashi, but if not thats ok because our heroine already has a calender.

Plus if you see in the first calender with all the charavters from the manga up in the first post on page 1 you'll see that our heroine has the spotlight of the calender, whereas hinata is in the background.

Cmon guys, your overreacting.

 

I did not say it matters, I was only pointing it out, no need to get snippy.

I seems quite obvious to me that Hinata was placed there purposely, because I don't think they just picked things totally at random, and Sakura is conspicuously left out, interpret it as you will, but it is what it is.

 

If they end up having one for Sakura, then great. If not... oh well, I guess. In the end it doesn't impact me in any significant way and changes nothing as far as the manga is concerned. And I don't know about anyone else, but I'm not overreacting about anything, because there is nothing to truly 'overreact' about.

I'm not pleased by this one neither.

While the other have too much characters one each months, this one doesn't have enough characters.

But I like the student/ Master theme.

I never saw the appeal in Shikamaru. What is it that Kishi values so highly about him (enough to warrant giving him his own calendar)? Personally, I think Kurenai had a more interesting premise to her character. It's a shame that the manga never explored her abilities or personal conflicts in depth.

I agree, I do like Shikamaru, but I think Kurenai could've had an interesting storyline. But so could several of the manga's relatively ignored characters.

I like the theme of students and masters here, but I don't know, something feels kind of like it's missing. Maybe it's the backgrounds, I don't care for them.

Why is Hinata part of the image? She has absolutely no personal connections to Sakura. It's like a subtle jibe that the company made in order to discredit Sakura's importance or to give this asinine impression that they're somehow "equals" who both deserve notable recognition on these calendars.

Even Ino seems out of place on that poster to me. For something that's supposed to be like a visual representation of the various moments that Sakura has had in the manga, there seems to be quite a few unneeded panels of other characters who aren't even that important to Sakura. I'm talking about Neji and Shikamaru. Why are those two even there? I suppose Ino is understandable (albeit she sticks out like an unwanted sore on your face) but my distaste for the design choice also stems from not caring much for her character personally. It's this continual effort to try and assert her as somehow being this moralistic, combative, lovestruck rival who thinks she is still able to run neck and neck with Sakura that irks me about her. It has as much credibility as Kiba believing that he can compete with Naruto.

Other than that, it looks great so far. The shading appears consistent with Sakura's thematic colouring.

I wouldn't worry about who's in the background panels. While some (Sasuke with Itachi and Team Hawk/Snake) made sense, others (Naruto with Obito and Madara in the background as the questioning, excluding those that make sense, Kurama, Jiraiya and his parents) didn't and Sakura's looks like her section fall into this category.  To me, it felt like all of the panels are a collage of panels just to make the calendar look pretty and hi-res the cover/promotional art of the characters Kishi did for the series.

 

Now I want to know, is Sakura sharing with anybody else or its all about her on the foreground?

Neji and Shikamaru too. But I agree, too much Hinata. I hope there is no more Hinata picture in the overall size of the Sakura month, there is already 2 Hinata picture in this small portion, so imagine if there are other on the actual size. It really makes it look like Shueisha wished Hinata was the heroine and Sakura the side character because they have made Sakura irrelevant and they put Hinata everywhere. They made Sakura look like she has no real bond with no one except Sasuke, while she's part of Team 7. I'm curious to know if Sai will be there, I have no hope for Naruto, seeing the amount of biasness.
