One of these days I should reread the books.  They were a good, fast read.

 

You know to be honest, and nobody jump me for saying this, but I wasn't really overly impressed with the Hunger Games books as a whole. I read them around the time the first movie came out and all I had to go on was the huge amount of hype surrounding then and I was like, "Well I'll give these a try, see if they're any good." And once I finished all three books I thought they were all right but not near as good as they were made out to be. I've read a lot of books from several different genres, but the Hunger Games are the only ones I can recall feeling so let down by and it's weird because of the handful of people I know who read the books, I was the only one disappointed. I can't even pin down why.

 

Maybe I should try rereading the books myself, maybe I'll feel differently about things the second time around. Sorry about the slightly off topic post.

I was a big Alvin x Brittany shipper back when I was in deep with the Chipmunk fandom. (The '80s cartoon. The CGI movies were okay, but I liked the cartoons better.)

 

Ben x Julie from Ben 10 (was sad when it was revealed they broke up in Omniverse)

Aang x Kataara from The Last Airbender

Ohhh, let me add PhinBella from Phineas and Ferb in there.

And not sure if SonAmy counts. Sonic is a game franchise, but there was an anime, too, in which SonAmy was strongly implied. (Apparently it's also present in the show Sonic Boom, which makes me happy. Though I haven't watched this show yet.)

 

Seems most of the pairings I hardcore ship, though, or have hardcore shipped, were anime ones. I'm not a huge shipper anyways, usually have to see a relationship blossom in canon before I can ship something really hard.

 

Stuff I shipped really hard (outside of anime) includes...

Think it'd be limited to SonAmy and Alvatinny.

 

 

Apparently BenLie has been retconned out of existence. Oh well, Ben 10 does a crapton of retcons anyway, and if I'm not mistaken this wouldn't be the first time they retconned a pairing.

Aaaaand, finally catching up on Omniverse, I realize that I don't give a frick about Ben 10 shipping anymore. BenLie I mainly shipped because it was canon. Normally once I latch onto a ship I stay there, buttt I've come to terms on this one. Just because they dated doesn't mean they're going to stay together for life, so I can accept that it didn't work out.

 

I DO think it's odd that the series is turning back to the original ship (Ben and Kai), which she appeared in only one episode in the original series and Ben just happened to have a crush on her. Meh, I can't ship something based off of child crushes. (Hm...Ben and Kai...would their ship name be BenKai? Hah, that sounds funny.)

But despite the fact that I have opinions, I mean it when I said I no longer give a frick about shipping in this series. At least for the time being. I might come to latch onto a ship later, who knows.
