Thia is true and more importantly then that. Shes the only one who could keep up with him. His energy hsi power hed leave any other gal in the naruverse in the dust. Sakura has her own accomplishments and her own position as one of the new Sannin to keep her even with Naruto, and Sasuke for tha matter.
Shes the only gal that wont get overwhelmed by the future hokage and the one that well most likey be standing by his side instead of behind him.
As one of my fave stories once said. " If they were scared of him, imagine how scared they be of the one person who could make him whimper with a crack of her knuckles and a glare." paraphrased slightly but you get the point.

What makes it even more awesome though is that Theirs No suprise in this relationship. It doesnt sneak up on us and jump out and go BOO!! like others do.
Its also not a relationship for relationships sake. This has been a slowly and steadilly developed relationship from the virtual beginning of the manga.
When this happens. it well not be a suprise to anyone.

One thing was for certain, Sakura was my type of girl. I liked her since the very beggining, she was that comical girl who made you wonder what the expectation were for ninjas, since she definitely didn't seem like one. She was real, and the whole 'crush and be crushed on' issue was very real too. SasuSaku was more put out there, more in your face for me you could say. NaruSaku was the developing love and I saw it. I consider Sasuke and Naruto both mains, so it felt logical to me that she was to end up with either. Hinata though? That one really shocked me when I entered the fandom finally, reading fanfiction and looking up comments.
I think I realized I really supported it when I was talking to Hinta enthusiasts and Sakura bashers, and one of them brought up how Naruto was getting abused by the witch Sakura and that for sure he'd end up with Hinata. I sat there in front of my computer screen frowning, and a thought passed by my head that there was no way Naruto was going to end up with any other girl than Sakura. I went on a little rant, and before I knew it I was defending all the reasons why Sakura was compatible with Naruto and how it was obvious he liked her and not Hinata. Then, a person said, "You're a NaruSaku shipper aren't you?" and I was all n00bish and was like... "...And that is? o.o;" So that's how I realized what I was, but until I found this site from a friend, I thought I was the only person in the fandom who believed NaruSaku would happen. My friend surprised me by telling me she was a NaruSaku shipper too (I was like... YAYZ I KNEW I WASN'T CRAZY) and was linked to here ^^
So, in short, I was a shipper since the very, very beginning, but hey, if Naruto decides to go with Ino or some other chick, I wouldn't be TOTALLY against Sakura with Sasuke (though it makes me twitch, cry, and despair because there goes such a beautiful and canon pairing to dust ;_; ) SO IT WON'T HAPPEN, NARUSAKU OTP =P

Where exactly, it was probably the "Promise of a lifetime" thing, I agree. He never made that to Hinata. X3

Mostly... But I'm really curious as to where it all started out. Hinata has a crush on Naruto! That's fine and dandly, but Naruto hardly knows she exists.
How did that become, like, the most popular couple of all time with that little of ANYTHING. Fans are weird.
In all fairness, SasuNaru has a much greater chance than NaruHina. =_=

First off, I was a dub watcher, so while every one else was off reading shippuuden manga and trying to get through fillers, I was watching the Naruto vs. Gaara arc. (At least, I think that's what they were doing...shippuuden wasn't an anime yet, right?) I watched those episodes over and over, because I had little else to do. Finally it struck me, "Hey! He must really care for her to go through all of that!". I almost wavered, but then the SasuSaku/NaruHina part of my brain shut the line of thinking down.
Not too long after, I found Ciardha's "Rain or Shine", Chapter Three, the wedding chapter, while looking for a new SasuSaku fic. And I found myself liking it after I finished, and NaruSaku setiments started kind of growing in the back of my mind.
Later that same week, I was on my cell phone, looking for pics of Sakura, when I accidently clicked (or what ever) on this link. It was a manga picture of her crying, and it lead me to a forum of.... SAKURA BASHERS!!!
Anwho, they were all "This picture reminds me of why I hate Sakura- she cries all the time, and she has no right to, she's a b****, ECT". That got me angry, but then I found somebody defending her. Nevermind it was a NaruSaku shipper, they weren't bashing her, so I decided to pay attention to what they were saying. And they not only defended Sakura, but her relationship with Naruto as well, opening me up to a completely new perspective.
A naruhina shipper posted next, saying her really didn't care for it at all, but he did give a link to Mizura's NaruSaku Manifesto. I read it and, decided, "You know what. I like NaruSaku now. Deal with it."
I told my friends as much as well.

Then I began watching the Shippuden anime (I hadn't read the manga at all yet.) Once I saw how much Sakura had grown and changed over the timeskip, I stopped hating her and even gained a new respect for her. The fact that she had grown in this way somehow made her past self seem more tolerable. However, I was still a blind NaruHina supporter.
Then came the day that I saw a comic on DeviantArt arguing against NaruHina and defending NaruSaku. For the first time I realized the flaws in NaruHina and how it really wasn't very likely. The comic also mentioned hints towards Sakura developing feelings for Naruto. When I finally got around to reading the Part 2 manga chapters, I saw what the person who made the comic meant. By this point, I had given up NaruHina and believed NaruSaku was the most likely pairing. And yet, I still didn't really like the pairing, just believed in it.
Then I read the NaruSaku Manifesto. That essay gave me a new liking for both Naruto and Sakura as characters, as well as the relationship they share. It was hard for me to believe I had missed all those little things when I had first run through the anime. And so, a new NaruSaku shipper was born.
