I guess since this fits the parameters of this post (i.e. taking place after this current chapter), I'll bring this up here, but why do I have a feeling that all social media networks and forums are going to crash if a pairing does becoming canon, especially this one? I feel that this site would crash from the traffic, for one thing, and I can imagine other sites like Tumblr and Twitter, will run into some problems. Thoughts?
What will happen after 692?

I don't understand the sudden hype of Sasuke dying just because he betrayed Naruto again like it means something. We all knew he was going to betray them sooner or later. Acting like this solidifies Sasuke dying makes no sense to me. And say he did, wouldn't that mean Naruto and Sasuke couldn't break the Indra/Ashura cycle? Even with Sasuke redeemed at the last minute, it was still too late for the happy, hunky-dory ending literally everyone of the past generations expects. (I say this in regards to the Sage and Hashirama and Madara)
I'm not totally overruling the possibility Sasuke will die. Like I said, I'm through with Sasuke predictions. I'm just throwing out other ideas because honestly anything is possible with him.

I've already said in other threads that I think Sasuke won't die. Because that would be a loss from Naruto's perspective and
1) the last fight in the whole manga cannot be a loss;
2) Naruto has shown his way of thinking that he can't become Hokage and approach Sakura if he doesn't save Sasuke - we can't see the main character of the story give up on everything in the end;
3) killing Sasuke would undermine Naruto's ideology that he developed during the part 2 of this manga - his answer to the never-ending circle of violence and revenge in the shinobi world;
4) Naruto was always treated as an idealist, who still manages to make things done through his amazing will power, that is one of his major distinctions as a character - killing Sasuke is too realistic to suit Naruto's character;
5) Naruto fought against killing Sasuke when all the world decided to do it - he overcame this idea in 485 (and next), it is no longer an option to him;
6) if Sasuke dies, it would mean that he was superior to Naruto. It sounds strange, but it is true. If Naruto truly overgrew Sasuke in a meaningful way (and this was one of the main goals from the begining - how can we not get it in the end?) he would be able to do the most difficult thing - stop Sasuke without killing him. If Sasuke is way too strong, Naruto can only stop him by destroying him;
7) Naruto needs Sasuke's Rinnegan to release the Infinite Tsukiyomi.
I don't know how Sasuke can change. He is very far gone. We have hints that he has changed a little bit - he is less brutal and he saw the examples of men with his kind of dreams crumble before his eyes (Madara, Obito). But he is still very confident. Unless Kishi would break his mask and show us a frightened little boy or smth. I wouldn't like that. I wonder if we will get a "dream sequence" - it is very common in mangas and anime after all. In dream sequence Sasuke would be able to see the consequences of his actions, see the world as it would be if he prevailed. Or he might come under a Tsukiyomi himself and see what he truly desires - friends and home. Or he might meet Itachi and speak with him once again (like Kakashi did with Obito). Maybe Naruto will bring him close to death and he would be able to reach another plane.
(The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, but in ourselves, that we are underlings.)

Naruto and Sasuke fight, Naruto will defeats Sasuke and free the Juubis. Sasuke realizes his mistakes and decides to travel the world for seeking better path. There will be peace and harmony in the ninja world. Kakashi becomes Hokage while Naruto becomes older and more mature. NaruSaku become canon and in the end Naruto becomes Hokage.

I just can't see Naruto and Sasuke as co-Hokages. Even though in conveniently wraps up the plot. The reason is both would have to be so dramatically OOC that we wouldn't even recognize them anymore. They couldn't be bickering children, but stable, responsible, fair adults who are able to 1. Get Along, and 2. Get Things Done. And I just don't see it happening. Even in the best of times there were antagonistic friends.
And also, I can't imagine Sasuke would share or accept anything less than he thought he deserved (ie. being Hokage), while Naruto may be more ameanable at the start, but he would have to slice off half of his life's dream and hand it to Sasuke, only to watch him one-up him in strategy and diplomacy over and over again, just as Sasuke's done with every other skill over the course of their entire lives. Just because they are both equally powerful right now doesn't mean that Sasuke hasn't always been quicker on the uptake than Naruto. Naruto isn't called the knuckleheaded ninja for nothing. And Sasuke has always been regarded as something of a prodigal.
So the changes for both would have to be radical. And I just don't see it happening and the storyline still being believable.
I could more easily see them coming to some truce, with Sasuke discovering that there are more Uchihas out there, prompting him to leave the village to find them. Thereby serving his own purposes and ducking out the Hokage job without looking weak. Because one thing you can depend on Sasuke to be is self serving!
I really don't know. But I do think Kishimoto could spin off a whole new storyline about the battle for power between the two of them. So fingers crossed for that!

My vote is for Sasuke dying. Though Naruto might try to convince Sasuke to be good again. If Sasuke is going to die, he'll most likely be hoisted by his own petard. Because I honestly can't see Naruto killing the guy he spent years trying to save. I don't know why he has a fondness for the jackass, but he does so Sasuke dying by Naruto's hand is out of the question. But then again, anything could happen in this fight so we won't know what will transpire until the end of the fight.

I can think about two options:
1) Naruto somehow manages to trap Sauce into IT; Sauce dreams about his family and stuff and realize he never wanted war or kitten like that. Naruto also manages to get everyone out of IT without him. Sauce awakes feeling stupid and the next thing it's him running away in tears, never to be seen again(LOL).
2) Naruto and Sauce fight each other and while their hands and seals clash the IT comes dispelled.
Tenten will have her shining moment of grace by sealing Indra's spirit (lol over9000) forever. Sauce and Naruto hug themselves before Sakura kills them both.
