But Steven Seagal would also be bad. He only has one expression. He always has the same damn expression in every scene of every film I've ever seen him in!
I don't agree with Samuel L Jackson as Jet. That's just fanservice. I really like Sam, but he's not the right guy for that role.
Hollywood never knows when to leave things alone...

Half a billion dollar budget?! Jesus Christ what are they trying to make it a space epic like Star Trek or something? CGI is a lot cheaper nowadays.

I sincerely hope there is sarcasm in your voice when you said "Keanu Reeves is a good actor." Besides blank look #1 and dismal blank look #2, not to mention a few carefully thrown in there "Whoa"s, he has no range as an actor.

Live action Cowboy Bebop is tempting, but I know they would kitten it up.
Keanu Reeves as Spike is not a bad choice, but I am sure there are better choices. There are definitely worse choices.
