Seeing again how another NHtard or Naruto fanboy hailed Naruto to be the best shounen manga series ever (da fuq), I wanna ask you guys:
What do you think in your opinion is the best shounen ever? I expect mangas such as One Piece, FMA, and HxH to be mentioned a lot.
For some reason the latter two are the ones I barely ever hear critique from...
EDIT: Can Nisekoi even be considered a shounen? Isn't it just a harem series?

The best Shonen to me, obviously, is One Piece. FMA is great too. You don't ever hear any critiques about HxH because the writer does three chapters and takes a year long break.

I don't like how Sakura shouted her love declaration to Sasuke in front of Naruto. I know it was a desperate situation but couldn't she have shouted her love to Naruto to make him forget his promise and stop fighting? The love triangle really messed things up. I do like the disappointed expression Kakashi wore though when Sakura confessed.

Judging by Kishi's comments in all his interviews, It seems like he wanted SS and NH as the endgame, but could not develop them because of Yahagi. I beleive Yahagi set the foundation of NS and when he left after the Pain Arc, NS was doomed. Kishi also stated that he will try to push NS as the endgame pairing. I think he tried to mirror Sakura's confession with Hinata's but got lose and made things worse than it already has. Now his work is nothing but garbage. Yahagi must be face-desking with the end results.

Remember when Sasuke and Naruto helped her out after she charged ahead to fight the Juubi? Her reaction? "Oh Sasuke-kuuuuun." Naruto's reaction? "Uh.... I helped too."

 

Maybe I'm being unfair with this particular scene, but in retrospect, the signs were clear. I think we were all duped by the CPR scene and the moment with Minato.

I don't know...if he did, why create the parallels? (I will never believe the misleading bs) he kept on, to me, it was more money than actually staying in the plot

I honestly don't believe Kakashi was a SS shipper. He had wanted to kill Sasuke and told Sakura in the first bell test that she "only saw Sasuke who wasn't there but not Naruto who was". I think that quote had deeper meaning. When he shouted at Sasuke how much Sakura loved him I think he was more-so scolding him than trying to play matchmaker. Wanting Sakura with a criminal who tried to kill them was the last thing Kakashi would've wanted for her IMO. He was being like Naruto supporting her "happiness" but if he could have it his way Kakashi is on the kill-Sasuke/anti-SS boat like us heheheehe.

It's been a decade seeing Naruto to be considered a top manga. Those days are long gone. It couldn't even win top manga that ended that year. It lost to Tokyo kittening Ghoul, which got a sequel like what, immediately. That's embarrassing. We saw that list of top manga last year and it was like over 100 of them and no Naruto. It's like what the hell.

Anyway, while those are opinions, Naruto didn't really got that title. If it did, it's long passed that. Maybe it wasn't going to be the best shounen manga at all, but being seen as one of the best like top 5 would certainly help. It could have gotten honorable mention, but instead, it's another series that just couldn't end it right. It long stay its welcome. So pretty much, the series only cater to the fans, not the audience.

As of late, I will say FMA is one of if not the best shounen manga. One Piece has the potential to be one of the best and for a series that go this long, that will be an incredible achievement.

I personally saw Sakura's Sasuke fangirling post 631 as her wanting acknowledgement. You could argue that 693 disproves this, but once again all I see from Sakura is negativity and unhappiness. I think she was so frustrated and fed up with Sasuke always treating her like dirt that she just wanted a reaction out of him. Well she did get a reaction which was for Sasuke to "kill" her in a genjutsu.

 

After that it was my personal belief that she would finally wake up and move on.
