The thing is that Hinata need more help than more ass-kicking. In fact, she remind me of Mary Jane in Spider-Man Movie the first one, where she needed to be saved 6 times. So Hinata is barely a fighter, despite that one scene. She's just there to get loved. Even the part about destroying one obstacle, only the guy just say, "Fool you! I still got the power!" So yeah, really weak.

Hey guys, quick question. According to kishimoto, he had this ending planned for a while and said that Nejis death was the trigger for naruhinas connection. With what he said, are we to assume that naruto had fallen out of love with sakura or at least forgot his "crush," god I hate having to call it that, before Nejis death?

i badly wanted to atleast keep a part of this series in a good light (atleast until pain arc or so-- when things still makes sense)

but i guess I can't even afford doing that.

Its sad but that's how it is. I thought as time passes, the anger will fade a little and that i can start looking at the series more calmly but unfortunately time has made me resent it more.

Naruto was the only manga/anime that disgusts me in so many levels.  true, i dislike some mangas out there but not to this extent.

It is simply horrible in my eyes. Yes, i know a portion of this series was actually good but they even make it a point to declare that it was all a misled. No literary work has ever made me feel this stupid and disgusted. You can call me bitter, salty or sore loser but this series was a waste of time and a big stab to a manga fan like me.

Also, still no grown up Naruto smiling. In fact, he's weird closed-mouth smile looks downright angry. I wonder if this ultra-subdued Obito-esque Naruto is going to be the one they stick with?

 

I keep expecting to see a Naruto image in the publicity that has the same likeable character I remember from pre-698. Not happening yet.

I like Mary Jane from Spiderman. She needed to be rescued a lot yeah and I even heard the producers made her wear a padded bra but at least she was close friends with Peter. The damsel in distress archetype doesn't really bug me that much it's this retconning of Hinata's character and entire Naruto series that p*sses me off. I get that some character's aren't fighters but Hinata is the Hyuga heir and is not a medic. There is no reason for her to suddenly be this helpless sexy waifu especially after another timeskip where she was supposed to be more capable. The only explanation is that Pierrot is appealing to Hinata fanatics who wanted her to get a starring role as the love interest who's rescued by knight in shining armor Naruto but at the cost of character and story. Hinata is not a helpless waifu and Naruto was never interested in being her knight. The Last makes everyone OOC.

First of all, I don't see how 615 was supposed to canonize anything. I don't care what Kishi says. There was no romantic connection there. Yes it was romantic from Hinata's POV, but not from Naruto's. There were no thoughts like "Hinata's hand is so small and cute. Makes me want to protect her" or something like that. 

 

So what exactly is supposed to be romantic about this? That Naruto feels so guilty over not being able to protect Neji that he swears to dedicate the rest of his life to protect Hinata and make her happy? Not only is that a really superficial reason to fall in love with someone, it's also kinda morbid. 

 

Then there's the whole "By my side" comment, but isn't that just Naruto thanking Hinata for cheering him up after losing Neji or is it supposed to be a recognition that Hinata was the one who has always been there to help him? If that's the case then Naruto is a scumbag. Plain and simple. What about Sasuke? What about Iruka? What about Kakashi? What about Sakura? What about Tsunade? What about Sai? What about Jitaiya? Are they suddenly not good enough? 

 

As for Naruto falling out of love, well you could say that, but then we have 631 where Naruto confirms to Minato that Sakura is basically his girlfriend. So either 615 meant nothing romantic to Naruto or he is once again just being a scumbag and a hypocrite who lies to his deceased father and jokes about Sakura being his girlfriend, despite him scolding her for doing the same despite Kishi himelf stating that he wanted to portray her as being honest.

 

Then we have The Last which states that Naruto misunderstood Hinata's confession and that their relationship is basically back to square one, with Hinata stalking Naruto and Naruto being completely oblivious to her.

 

My personal interpretation is that 615 was merely platonic from Naruto's POV and that he was still in love with Sakura. Everything else makes no sense and has some seriously bad implications about Naruto as a character.

 

But then again, who knows. This story is a mess.

But still, she's a fighter. This is no excuse. Get captured or getting into trouble twice is like a limit. Remember, one person left because he/she kept seeing Hinata being damsel so many times. Not sure how much but I can imagine too much. She's not a citizen. She's the heroine. And bad at that.
