I agree!

 

The only times Naruto got angry was because of a third party (Kabuto talking kitten about Sasuke. BZ talking kitten about Obito etc etc). As I already said the one time he got angry for what's done to him was swept away with a stupid line with Minato!

 

Naruto had to let all hatred go before taking on Kurama. But to me I have never seen this "hatred" in Naruto. Sure it was talked about. But Naruto never showed it!. The whole dark Naruto at the waterfall was also ended on a stupid way!

 

Also the whole "Naruto letting go of his hatred" was also pointless. Since he felt hatred/angry at BZ!

 

Kishimoto brought very complex/adult themes into his story. But didn't know how to work with them.

 

That's part of why Part II is such a failure. Part I deals with some serious themes: the nature of being a ninja and a tool, loneliness, revenge, etc. etc. But for the most part, it all works because it's grounded in Naruto's happy-go-lucky attitude, determination, and quest to gain respect and become a great ninja. That works so well. Part II tries to mature way too much. It tries to make things way too complex and balance too many things. And along the way, Kishi lost his way and forgot what the narrative was that we all fell in love with.

That is why manga is not the place for these kind of complex/adult themes and reality.

Given many people feel she ruined the series in the end, Ryo, who could blame some people hating her? Honestly, I dislike her, but don't hate her. Even if it's more Studio Pierrot's fault that things turned out as they did, Hinata is used as the focal piece for the end of Naruto. T_T

Ugh man Hinata replaced Sai in Team 7. Poor dude is crying over this kitten. :( The order was always this: Naruto -> Sasuke -> Sakura -> Sai -> Kakashi -> Yamato.. Now all we see is Naruto -> Hinata -> Hinata's Sexy Arms ->  Hinata's Hair ->  Hinata's Beautiful White Alien Skin 

 

I guess Team 7's original formation was a mislead too. Hinata was always a part of it, she was just hiding behind the trees during every mission.

I don't really hate Hinata. To be honest, I don't really hate any of the Naruto characters. Whenever I make a post about a Naruto character which may seem kinda anti-ish, I'm really just doing it to demonstrate how twisted the Naruto series has become.

 

There's a word for this. It's called flanderization, where a single trait from a character is blown up so much that it now becomes the character's only trait. Kishi already paved the way with his characterisation of Hinata in part 2, but it was SP who really wen't overboard with it. 

 

To me it's obvious that the Hinata we see in The Last and to a lesser extent in 700 is not really Hinata. It's SP's version of Hinata. The shy and demure girl-next-door who we're all supposed to feel sorry for, despite the fact that she comes from an uber powerful clan, gets everything handed to her with very little effort and who is so single minded in her fangirlism that you could practically replace her with a cardboard cutout and no one would notice.

 

Despite all this, I find it very hard to ignore that Hinata had kinda become the symbol of everything that went wrong with this series.

Yeah if Hinata's not going to be an asskicker she should at least have a prominent role in the story. I hate when the hero gets with a girl he barely interacted with.

That's a good point. I don't understand why they have made him appear so stoic upon assuming the Hokage position. The Naruto we grew up with would never lose his happy attitude. He would see becoming Hokage as an accomplishment worth cheering about and celebrating. Not an occasion to become stoic and sullen.
