Hate the pic. Naruto totally looks like Obito, which I guess is the point. He's supposed to be Obito 2.0.

 

The crazy thing is that Obito/Rin was a Naru/Saku parallel. Not Naru/Hina. There is no Naru/Hina parallel in the entire 15-year series, yet everywhere we turn there is NS. Grrrr....

Badly or not I don't find that laughable at all its utter kitten it makes me sick   .  And I know that this kitten started as Twilight fiction  . On a happier note you'll be lucky if your eyes are still in place  .

I know how you feel, Tricks... There there, it'll be OK, hon. Seriously, it's kinda pathetic we get told NS was a mislead, which we know is a lie since Kishimoto-sensei just refuses to admit he screwed up. Of course, I haven't seen the picture yet, but still....

After Pein arc Naruto became more and more like a Messiah character archetype, a badly done one at that. And when they are badly done, this character archetype always comes out as a boring OP tard

one of the biggest flaws in this story imo. not only did he carry that hero complex, but he didn't even give pain a good enough answer to world peace. how was he going to get rid of the hatred in the world? kishi's biggest mistake was introducing that garbage in his story in the first place. 

 

that's why i really loved pain at that time. pain was the character who asked naruto the hard questions that he didn't have a good answer to. i knew naruto wasn't going to achieve world peace in a way where it's not even believable in the slightest.

That was one of the strongest point in manga and it didn't get any resolve, yeah, surely it's kitten.

Question, Is anyone sticking around for the mini series, or are you just staying in the fandom because you still want to discuss NaruSaku? Because I can't see anything to look forward to from here on out. I think it will just get worse for us when NH and SS are shown as families in the new series.

Yeah, me. I love the community here. That alone is enough reason for me to stay here. I've long gotten over my initial frustration with the ending.

Oh, and yeah, I will most likely check out that doomed-to fail series. Wanna see how more pathetic Kishi can get with the new generation :)

You can sum it up with just one word  "Abomination"  .   A lady friend suggested the book to me and said  it was great romance when I saw what it is I was like WTF  NO ! Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaank Youuuuuuu !!!  I ain't reading this kitten   How can people think its a great romance   .

If anything, I'll end up hearing it than reading it. I still didn't see anything about the movie. That's how much I lost interest. Tumblr usually forced me to see it because it's there. I can't ignore it. But that's a good thing because now I see TG as my resurrection.

Yeah, that whole arc just was so cohesive. I held out hope until the Kage summit, then Sakura's confession. After that it was all downhill.

For a few weeks now, my tumblr dashboard has been free of those abominable pics and spoilers from the Last. Well, that has to do with the fact that I am following many TG, Haikyuu, and Noragami tumblr uses now. Having just stayed a Naruto fan on tumblr would have made no point for me to keep on having a tumblr account if that meant to constantly get into fights with NH and SStards.

i'm not too sure about that. 

 

in the end, a complex character like pain had to be turned into a moron in order for naruto to defeat him with a book. this cop out was obviously for naruto's pursuit of world peace. pain arc could have walked out into the sunset, but the ending of it was complete garbage. the revival of the characters is the thing i hated most.

Yeah, Kishi really let things spiral out of control. Too many themes, too many motivations, too many questions that could never be answered with such an abrupt ending. 

 

 

Yeah, that whole arc just was so cohesive. I held out hope until the Kage summit, then Sakura's confession. After that it was all downhill. 

Pein was such a well-conceived character with a pretty believable background. The link to Jiraiya was a great touch, too. And the arc ended with a great NS moment. I'm going to arbitrarily decide that this was the ending of Naruto :)

AHK, you're right, Naruto was never allowed to express himself. Not once. He just had to take all this crap hand he was dealt in life, and keep on smiling. And I know he was a fiesty, brawling little kid, but that's not what I mean. Naruto took all of his orphan years, all of that rejection and hardship, and then his crappy relationship with Sasuke and then Obito, yet he never once got good and angry. Not even at Sakura. It's like he always had to be the hero. The only time he shows his frustration was in the ramen stand when someone asked his autograph. And then, getting mad at an anonymous guy, is about like yelling at othe driverrs from your car! It accomplishes nothing! It was the only way he could be angry, but not actually have to be responsible for directing it at anyone!! I would have liked to have seen him grapple with his own anger and disappointment and come out on top. I would have liked to see him emotionally develop farther than just the waterfall of truth (which was really only written to resolve that ramen stand scene).

 

And Narufan85, you're right, I would have liked to have seen Naruto get mad more too. Why doesn't he get mad at Sasuke for treating Sakura like crap? Why doesn't he call out Minato and Genma and the Third and all the othe people in the village who knew Minato was his father, who would have fought side by side with his mom and dad, and who would have died for them...then just left their only son to believe he's an orphan an treated like crap!?! I would have liked to have seen Naruto take to task those around him, instead of being painted as the great hero who can't get angry.

Kishi was so hell bent at portraying Naruto as this over the top understanding/forgiving hero. That Naruto looked unrealistic! The one time he got angry and punched/yelled at Minato, was immediately swept away by "It's ok, I am the son of the 4th Hokage" line!

I wanted Naruto to really get angry (not kyuubi like). But really express his emotions!

Kishi had the whole prophecy given to Jiraiya that Naruto will either destroy or save the world. Yet I have never seen the "destroying" part in Naruto.
