If anything, I would have loved for Naruto to put Kakashi through the ringer for abandoning him and Sakura in favor of Sasuke. It really kittening pissed me off that Kakashi made Naruto feel inadequate by passing him off on Ebisu like Naruto's chuunin exam didn't even matter.
Ah! kitten! I didn't mean to spoil you! Sorry!
Yeah, that bugs me, too. It's such a trope in the manga. Truth about Kyuubi is hidden. Don't get mad. Truth about parents hidden. No biggie. Training cast aside for Uchiha. Oh well. Sexy jutsu! Over and over people crap on Naruto and he never shows any emotion or anger. I guess that's the point? That he'll cure the cycle of hatred by never getting mad or upset? But it renders him one dimensional and robs us, as readers, of the opportunity for an open and honest conversation with Sakura (or, hell, even Hinata) about his feelings. And I don't care about what is in the Last. I can't be the only fan of Naruto that stopped following the anime at the time jump.
That's why the Pein arc is so great. That conversation with Pein is one of the few times you see Naruto really angry and honest. And it's very, very refreshing.
