But it is true, a movie needs to earn at least twice as much as they spent in order for it to be "successful"
See but unlike the rest, SP spent so much advertisement on The Last thinking that a lot of people would see it(like more than as of now)
And how much do you believe was expended for promotional material? 12 million USD like the film itself? I doubt that. Perhaps 5-6 million, but anything more than 50% seems excessive.
But that still doesn't make sense, why release it on a limited set amount of theaters if they would gain even more money if they didn't
Because they're doubling efforts into foreign markets with a bigger interest in Naruto than the US? Or perhaps it's just easier to finance theatrical releases in countries like Malaysia and Indonesia compared to one of the most expensive cities in the world like New York. I'm not certain which explanation is more plausible.

I don't know, but promoting a movie costs a lot of money. Promoting in general is very expansive, don't underestimate how much it costs to promote and advertise

But, are those markets whiling to spend as much as the people from the US are?
But I'm also certain they're going to theatrically release it in big cities on other countries too, so it'll still cost them.

it's certainly one of the worst anime on this planet, especially if you've been following it from chapter 1 to now.

I can't believe naruto would critic tsunade being a weak useless hokage and that pretty much lead to him becoming a hokage himself. Naruto really did become a scumbag/masochist.

Can't think of another series that destroyed 15 years of work with two chapters and a movie. So yeah Naruto definitely has the "honor" of having the most retcons/asspulls to date.

Funny he says that then when he becomes Hokage he just sits on his ass all day doing nothing but surfing the web, drinking, and eating ramen while neglecting his family. And for some reason they still have to have these Gokage meetings even though the world is supposed to be at peace so what's the need anymore? There's a part 3 so Naruto must have failed. He had no right to trash talk Tsunade if he was going to become a failure of a Hokage in the future, besides it's an out of character thing for him to do that in the first place.

it's certainly one of the worst anime on this planet, especially if you've been following it from chapter 1 to now.
The worst is Eureka Seven AO. At least Naruto had something going for it.
